This school is quite expensive and just moved to a new site in Sausalito after being in Mill Valley for many years. They expanded their enrollment from 80 to well over 100 with their now larger campus. There are a couple sports teams, with basketball and a girls soccer team now. The professors here are great and the school operates more like a college than a high school. Very strict, however, as you cannot leave until you complete all your work.
this school goes from sixth to eights grade and provides a decent public school education for your child. Some children can get lost in the large class sizes and there is much teasing and bullying at times. The campus has been recently redone and looks wonderful. Kids who go here usually go onto to Tam High just down the street. Not much diversity on campus in this wealthy community but overall a positive place for your kid.
Great environment to be immersed in French and learn much more quickly than traditional American public elementary schools. The curriculum is very challenging, more like in France, and if kids switch over to a public school, they will no doubt be far ahead. One class is in English, but everything else is French. The school is of course, pricey, but well worth it if you want your child to have a top class education and be totally bilingual.
This university's repuation has not been very good in recent years. As a baseball school, they are the top of the line, but academically they have left a lot to be desired. The program though is on the upswing with more money being poured in in recent years and smaller class sizes for graduate school. The campus is quite large and has a beautiful arboretum on site where many weddings and other events take place.
This Ross seems like all the others. You can always get great deals on name brand clothing that is usually irregular or failed in the big department stores. They also often have interesting and value priced home items such as kitchen ware, bedding, and other ceramic items. Also, interesting spices and food items. Although this area is usually messy it is fun to find all the variety of gourmet food items. The quality of the clothing, of course, is questionable.
I love the fact that the customer service people are well paid but do not get paid on commission so you do not have to feel like something is getting pushed on you. they seem to have the best prices on computers, CDs, and other electronic items. They always have enough employees on hand and they can provide good service most of the time. the stores are not so big that you cannot find anything and I like that they employ people from the area.
This Sport 24 hour fitness contains a basketball court, pool, sauna, and hot tub. It is a spacious area but often seems to be crowded and more popular than the Yorba Linda fitness center. The machines are pretty new and most work well. The staff are friendly and helpful, and there are ample running, biking, and walking machines. Parking is easy as the fitness center resides behind some shops. Good place for an easy workout.
Great law firm, specializing in insurance defense claims. Small group of about 10-15, with the two main lawyers very friendly and strong attorneys. Office has a friendly, laid back atmosphere and the location is excellent, right in the heart of the business district, just minutes from Union Square. Parking, of course, is difficult but there are parking garages if you want to plop down $25 for a day, but you might as well park illegally and just pay the ticket off for a similar price.
This jewelry mart contains a smorgasbord of different jewelers offer rock bottom prices on great merchandise. Great prices on engagement rings and wedding rings and you can often bargain with them, reminds me a little bit of Mexico. Origin of jewels may be questionable and some are not certified as diamonds but if you are looking for cheap jewelry this is the place to go as they are the middle man.
Offers lots of handy things all at 99 cents, some unbelievable deals on stuff like drinks, wines, plates, cleaning supplies, detergent... Be careful about damaged products and out of date products. Also be suspicious of "fresh" produce and store may be dirty sometimes and sometimes you really get what you pay for. But great places for basic necessities such as toiletries, spices, and water. Parking is quite easy in this location.
