I love this little store! They have a wide variety of used paperback books for low prices. I've usually paid 3-4 dollars per book. The books I've bought have been in excellent condition. They also take books back and give you a reasonable credit for the next time you come in. If you have paperbacks you aren't using I would come by and see if they will take them off your hands. Then you'll have a credit there to buy new reading adventures for yourself. The service is friendly and they'll point you in the right direction of an author or catagory.
I like this store because you can sell your used text books back to them year around. This is compared to to college where you can only sell back once a semester. They pay pretty well for the books they can use. However, the service isn't very friendly. I feel like they are trying to get me out of there haha. I would reccommend that you go by if you have text books to get rid of ,but grow a thick skin a day ahead.
If you don't have time to do your laundry or if somethings too big for your machine this is the perfect place for you to visit. The ladies there are super nice and made me feel like family each time I went in. They get to know their customers well. I would go in every week to drop off and pick up white bathroom rugs and they were always very clean. They are in a convenient location so you can get in and out fast.
Actually I'm not sure if the cows are really happy are not ,but I sure am with this creamery! It's not that far from me ,but if you're not close it's well worth the drive down to Pelzer. They have a small country store that sells their products along with some other independant companies supplies. I go for their milk mostly. My mom can't drink anything else because of health reasons. It's not much more expensive than grocery store milk and mom says it's better than the rest. I've purchased other products such as ice cream, butter, cheese, and candy. I have never been dissatisfied with my purchase. The employees are mostly family and are very helpful. Take a drive down to Happy Cow and you'll leave a happy customer!
If you're in a hurry and need a pet supply quickly I'd reccommend stopping by Saluda River Pet Supply store. It's a smaller store that carries a variety of pet food and supplies. Of course it's a bit more expensive than big chain stores ,but if you're needing something quickly this is the way to go. I've shopped here several times and I'm in and out within 5-10 minutes. Friendly service...They'll even take heavy items to your car without you asking.
There is no store like this in our town. You can find most anything you'd need to wear if you're a biker and then some. They sell chaps, helmets, jackets, glasses, gloves, and more at bargin prices. They have a hugs selection to chose from .The store is a good size and is covered with all your biker wear needs.
I have been shopping at the plus store for years now and have always had a pleasant experience. I've found clothes at great prices that I can't find anywhere else in town. Now they have closed that store and opened up a new and " improved" store that sells all sizes. I am not satisified with it at all. Their plus selection is horrible. I feel like the old store served the needs of plus size women better and this new store just doesn't work for "us".
I am a pet sitter and I've been taking my clients dog to Paws and Claws for over a year now. They have a neat little store as well as a full service dog grooming service. Cobe the dog always comes out nice and clean each time! We've also purchased some items for the dogs as well. The prices are a little higher than the big chain stores ,but the small store makes for a much better shopping experience.
I know how it is to be nervous when going to an OB appointment for the first time. I actually just looked in the phone book and picked one. Boy did I chose the right one. I've been seeing Dr. Mills for two years now and she is wonderful. She made the experience as positive as that kind of visit can be. She gives explanations that the common woman can understand. I am not the slightest bit nervous when I go to the office now because she's more like a friend than a doctor. I would definitely reccommend her to any woman.
Garners Natural Market and Cafe is a must for anyone who is seeking a more natural lifestyle. They sell quality produce, meats, and dry goods as well. They also have a great selection of vitimans and health/beauty aids. My boyfriend went there to find an herbal mouthwash and the clerk was super helpful and spent lots of time with him. He came out with a product that served his needs well. Garners like any other organic market is a little more expensive ,but the atomsphere and customer service is well worth it.
