They may not offer no late fees, or week long rentals, but for the moviewatcher who loves all movies, not just current releases and wellknown hits, this is a great place. You can find silent films, old classics, westerns, lots of children's movies. Basically a different variety of movies.... and somethign about it gives a cozier atmosphere. I needed help finding a lot of things for a film class, and the girl went out of her way to help me.
If you want to donate your hair (if you have more than 8 or so inches to spare- you should look at fantastic sams- they are affiliated with a program called locks of love that takes your hair and makes wigs for chemo patients. This particular store was good- I had a really nice lady cut my hair- it just was generally a great atmosphere. Another customer said that exact thing while i was there. So you knwo others feel this way...
and if you donate your hair, the cut and style is free. =)
I like the eastern style of these clothes- think nepal or tibetan styles. I was looking for a place like this around here for ages, and the clothes are beautiful, they offer a lot of variety in incense sticks, oils, aromatherapy etc etc. I just feel it's a bit too pricey on some things. The kind of place to get a veyr occasional cute piece of clothing, if you are feeling like something different.
I bought my car from this place- the salesman was very down to earth, not pushy, easy to talk to and afforded me a good deal. When i take my car for servicing, the people are likewise really helpful, and although one of them is a bit loopy, overall they are really efficient. They also offer complimentary coffee, snacks, shuttle rides, or if need be, a loaned car for the day.
For teachers of all ages, or just those who are fascinated by the learning process of youth- this is such an awesome place to walk around in. And it serves as a great gift (giftcard) to give to budding teachers as well... The location is right near the freeway, so that's convenient, as well.
The people know me by now, I think- and as such, they are really nice and easy tot alk to- but the movie selection is kind of poor. I've been searching for a particluar movie which isnt even that old (a few years at most) but it is nowhere to be found. Its sequel is, which doesn't help me at all.
This place is a haven fro avid readers, muslic andmovie lovers, and just anyone in searhc fo some fun novelty. They have bargain books on sale al the time- the people are friendly, and it's really the biggest bookstore that I know of in the vicinity- which is why i love it so.
Good service- good people- dependable, not likely to really rip you off as compared to other car service shops. Convenient for owners of european cars who don't want to go all the way to the dealer.
A surprising part of Berkeley Donwtown- where college students, parents, and children can converge. It may not be the biggest game store, but it offers something for everyone- be it jigsaws, children's toys, card and board games, collectable cards, comics etc. I've spent many afternoons in there when in need of something randomly fun...
and decently priced too.
I hated gyms prior to this place--
mostly because the only all-women gyms I had seen were those resembling Curves and the like- but this is a real gym- wtih fitness classes, instructors, trainers, weights, a track, pool, the works. It's not that big, which provides a notion of comfort, and everyone is friendly. Only drawback- they try to get you to buy trainer workouts a lot...
