The man that runs this place really know his stuff. I went in to buy spark plugs for a boat motor and he didn't even have to look in a book to tell me which ones I needed. Parking is amoungst the boats that are parked in the lot, but plenty of room for parking.
I have had some upholstery work done on the doorpanels on one of my cars at this business. They do very good work and if it isn't what you wanted the will redo it. They do no have very good parking.
PROS: Good Workmanship
CONS: Not very good parking in downtown area
I really enjoy shopping at this store. You never know what you will find their. Some of the stuff that they sell is the same as the ABC Catalog stuff, without the shipping/handling costs. The also sell other types of items as well. If you like to rummage through stuff, then you will like this place. They are located in a shopping center so there is ample parking.
PROS: Unique Selection of Items
It may be a small town Pharmacy, but they have always had what I needed. They also accept a large array of Prescription Insurance Cards. They tend to be slightly cheaper on their prescription medications than most chain pharmacies. However their over the counter medications tend to run a little higher.
The Polk City Flower Shop is alright in a pinch. They do not have alot to choose from in the store and may have to order certain things. However, around any/all holidays they have an ample supply of flowers and arrangements to choose from. I have only shopped there twice, but have found that they are comparably priced to other flower shops that I have visited in the past. They do make beautiful arrangements and try to help you in any way possible.
This Hardware store is a small town kinda store and has a little bit of everything to offer. Radiator hoses, nuts/bolts, wood, chlorine, cleaners, plants/trees, etc.. you name it they just might have it. They employees and owner are very friendly and helpful. The second you walk in the door someone is there to ask if you need any help, so you don't even have to go hunting for what you are looking for because they take you right to it. Their prices are high on some things but low on others, but I can find stuff there that I can't find other places.
My 5 year old attended K-4 here this past school year. He grew very fond and attatched to his two Teachers & learned a great deal while there. Private schools in general are strick in comparison to public school & this one is no exception. Everytime my son had the slightlest problem or sniffle they called me to come pick him up, which is a hassle when most of these problems (in my eyes) were not serious enough to be sent home from school for. Besides the tuition fees the parents have to donate 30 hours of their time per school year. They teach K-3 through 8th grade, have less students per teacher than public schools & have many oportunities throughout the school year for the kids to have a good time. Overall I liked the atmosphere that my son was in while he attended the school. They are the most reasonably priced Private School in our area & you can pay the tuition in one lump sum or in monthy payments.
PROS: Most Reasonably Price in our area
If you need to Kennel your dogs, this is the place to take them. It is owned & operated by a husband/wife team. They are about the freindliest people that you will ever meet. We have taken our dogs to them numerous times over the past 6 years and have never had any problems at all. They treat our dogs as if they were their own. Their fees are pretty much the same as other Kennels. They also bread and train German Shepards. The have air-conditioned Kennels, a huge area to run and play & dog runs to separate the dogs if they don't play well with others. I would not take my dogs anywhere else, I have even postponed my vacation before because they didn't have any room available for my two.
PROS: Only the best will do for my dogs & they are the best
This is the only Vet's office that I will take my dogs to. I specifically request the female vet, since she has taken care of my dogs since they were pups & has done surgery on both of them. She is very freindly, always remembers us, doesn't mind answering questions or explaining things & is very good with our two dogs. Their prices for services are on average with everyone elses but the medications are higher priced than other vets offices. But considering I trust them to doctor on my dogs I believe that I am getting my moneys worth.
PROS: Very Friendly and Caring
If you need a part for your lawn mower, this is the place to get it. I have found that their prices are cheaper than the dealers. For example: the blades for our name brand lawnmower are half the price at Lawnmower Specialties than they are at the dealer. Recently I went to purchase some items there and found that they didn't have them, couldn't order them and I had to go get them from the dealer. I sure wish I could have gotten them from Lawnmower Specialties becuase I paid almost $100 for 2 belts, 2 bolts and 1 pully at the dealer.
PROS: Good Prices
CONS: Do not have or can not get some items
