I usually book my flights online, but STA travel can be really helpful. You can get prices as low as the ones you find in internet, but these professionals agents help you get exactly what you need.

The first time i went there i was having a lot of trouble booking a very complicated itinerary, and for some visa issues i couldn't take the regular stops. But STA Travel helped me to take the trip with no major troubles, for a very convienient price, and with only one week in advance.

Pachees Chicago Style Pizza

I loved this restaurant. The pizza is great, with big portions, they allow you pick more than one flavor on you pizza. The salads are also great and big. The pizza is made when you order with fresh ingredients. It takes some time to get your order, (around 45 minutes) but the result is a great tasting, filled with ingredients pizza.

And while you wait, the waiters really take care of you, they have great service. And the decor of the place is very attractive: casual, but modern and with style.

If you like Chicago style pizza, you'll love this place.

PROS: Great service. Lot of food. Lovely place.
CONS: Only serve salads and pizza.

Gelato Classico

I personally love italian gelato. This small ice cream shop have many flavors to choose from, and the best part, they are happy letting you try as many flavors as you'd like before ordering your favorite.

I'd recomend any of the chocolate or caramel flavors, but all of them are really good.

CONS: Very small place.

China Delight

This small chinese restaurant in Palo Alto have a very good menu. The food is really good, and the price is surprisingly low for the location. The place is nice, it isn't fancy, but doesn't have a cheap look, either. Although i reccomend it for take out. Jus't make sure to make a clear order, I never got my spring rolls, last time i went.

PROS: Always have water and tea on the table.

Avis Rent A Car

I really liked the experience of renting at Avis. The process was really fast, around 10 minutes only.

Unlike some others Car rentals, Avis didn't requires an international Driver license. We had just a couple of weeks at Stanford when we needed a car for a weekend trip, an they acepted my husband's license from Dominican Republic.

They needed a local adress, and when we gave the bussiness card they told us that the had a discount for Stanford people! The prices are so good that is better rent a car than going on the train to San Francisco.

The employees were really friendly and even offered to keep our bikes in the office for the weekend, because they didn't fit in the car to take back home. This was really helpfull, because when we returned the car, we were able to leave on our bikes insted of a bus!

PROS: Great price. Accept driver's license from ANY country.
CONS: This branch does not offer navigation system.
