I am too old to wear most of the jewelry that Claire's sells, but I do like to go here when I am in need of new hair accessories. They have lots of pretty bands and pins that are nice for weekend wear.
The Bombay Company always has interesting pieces on display, so I am drawn into the store, but the items turn out to be far too expensive for my budget. The store might be suitable for others, but it's not for me.
The Perfume Center has a nice variety of perfumes, and I've found the prices to be a bit lower than in the department stores (at least for the perfumes I use). The scents and fragrances are very overpowering when you walk into the store, so it's not as comfortable to browse around in there as it is in bigger stores.
Papyrus has some nice and unique cards, stationery, and writing instruments. This store provides shoppers with a good alternative to the giant card chain stores. I try to stop by whenever I visit Oak Brook Mall.
This is a great store that has a lot of authentic imported Japanese groceries. There is also a bookstore with Japanese books and magzines (in Japanese), a small food court, and a travel agency. It's perfect for people who like Japanese food.
I don't think a single one of my flights from O'hare has ever taken off on time. It doesn't matter which airline I fly, they all have delays. There are some good points about O'Hare that brings the rating up to satisfactory. They have frequent flights to practically every destination in the world, and even though the place is very big, access to everything is easy.
I used to go to Hometown Pantry quite often because of its convenient location, but after a change in ownership several years ago, I only go when I have to. Prices seem higher than other similar stores and they don't have the variety that they used to.
Michael's a one of the biggest arts and crafts stores in the immediate area. I am always able to find what I need for my various projects. They have plenty of fabric, yarn, patterns, and everything else you would expect from a crafts store plus a whole lot more!
DeVry has really built a name for themselves as one of the area's top tech schools. I am a graduate, and my degree has allowed me to have a great career as a systems analyst with a national company. DeVry is worth the money.
I would rate L&T as an above average department store that is very similar to Marshall Field's, but with fewer extra services. It is a good place to find name-brand items.
