Definately One of Metro-Detroit's most popular movie theatres. Great staff and clean theatre. Bathrooms are well cared for. The popcorn is made fresh and they have large servings. The prices are a bit high for the consessions, however that's how you pay for friendly staff.
Depending on time of day, the parking situation is a little harried. You may have to walk a ways.
PROS: Nice to go to with the family.
CONS: Parking is a challenge.
The folks at Forte know how to put on the feed bag. You get a great deal for the money you spend. They don't skimp on servings. They offer a wide selection of dining options.
PROS: Great food value.
Talk about your helpful hardware men... The Durst family has run this hardware store for many years. The residents of the Berkley / Huntington Woods are know this hardware store. They also have lumber and other items that a run of the mill "hardware store" doesn't. The staff is the most knowledgable around. Always ready to help you find what you're looking for or help you plan your project, they know what to do.
PROS: Great prices. Helpful staff. Wide selection.
From filling up your gas grill's tank to generators to earth moving equipment Chet's has what you need. With store hours that allow you to get the tool you need early, do the job, and get it back all within a decent amount of time. Open on weekends allows the weekend handy man to get his/her projects done in 2 days. Prices for equipment are within reason. The tools they rent are in excelent condition. I've rented from them and they make it hassleproof. They get you in and out fast.
PROS: Good Value for your handyman budget
Dottie makes the best wedding gowns. She'll let you decide how you want to look at your wedding and she'll make sure you stand out in the most beautiful gown imaginable. Your personality will be in the dress. The price is within your buget as well.
Need to look gorgous on your day? Peggendott's will make it special just for you.
PROS: Friendly service at a price you can afford.
I've been to the San Diego Zoo... The Brookfield Zoo in Chicago, and a few other zoos. Detroit has a decent zoo. The exhibits, animals, and staff are worth the price of admission. Yes, they raised the price again. The rising costs of petroleum make delivering food and equipment to the zoo more expensive. When the owners of our sports clubs raise the price of tickets it is to pay for the athletes who make a living. When the zoo raises its price...it's to feed the animals and pay the staff to take care of them. The Detroit Zoo has made strides in maintaining a healthy environment for our animals. Yes, I was sorry to see our Elephants leave. But they were getting old and it was hard to care for them. They are in a great environment now and living better.
The kids still have a great place to go and see all the animals. There are other attractions. The train now costs to ride on it. But that too doesn't run on air. Someone has to maintain it.
All in all...a great place to spend the day with..or without the kids. After all..aren't we all a bunch of bigger kids?
PROS: Still a great value for your dollar.
CONS: A little more expensive than a couple of years ago.
This will be a mixed review. As the title suggests it all depends on your needs. I'll start with the good. If you have an appointment with a Doctor at the hospital, your experiences are usually good. The office center and Eye Clinic are great. The Imaging Center is good. Some of the other areas are probably good as well.
The Bad... The layout of the facility is not customer friendly. Not enough signs to let people know where to go.
The UGLY.... The ER. Each time I've gone to the ER I had to wait. I'm not talking 30 minutes..I'm not talking 60... I'm talking in the range from 1.5 hours to as long as 3 before being seen by a Doctor. The last visit I didn't have a life threatening condition, but you would think I'd be seen by a nurse or some one with in an hour. It took them 3 hours to finally get someone to me. Once the nurse saw how long I had been there she got the Doctor right away. Then the Doctor couldn't solve the problem because she wasn't an eye specialist and it seemed to her that my problem would best be served by going to the eye clinic. The next day, I took off work went to the Eye Clinic only to be told.. I had Pink Eye. And that...is the ugly.
PROS: General visits with appointments are good.
CONS: BAD ER WAITING TIME
At first I thought they were going to be a good company. Then when I tried to get to my stores web site, I couldn't get there using Comcast. When I repetedly called for help I got one guy who told me "Your internet server is so far off the backplane of the internet it can't see it." If your not computer literate let me put it this way. They couldn't dazzle me with their brilliance, so they tried to baffle me with their bullshit. I lost thousands of dollars in revenue by going with them. After I dropped them and I turned in my equipment (and had a reciept to prove it) I kept getting billed for service. When I called they told me theyt had no record of me turning in the equipment When I told them I had the proof..they asked me to fax it to them. Once I did that, I still got billed. This time they told me that the billing didn't stop until they disconnect their line from the pole. I told them that because they had service issues and can't get their tech's out in a quick response it wasn't my problem. I got another bill after that. I called..told the gentleman my problem. This time I heard that not only did they make a mistake..but I was owed money. HE filled out all the forms and 2 weeks later I recieved a check for the balance of the monies I had not used. Then...just when I thought I was done with it I got a bill the next month. I didn't bother calling..and they finally stopped sending the bills. VERY BAD BUSINESS.
PROS: None - I switched to Wide Open West.
CONS: Bad service, Bad Quality. Bad Bad Bad.
When I needed a security system for my wife's business I was informed of Erlich Protection. I spoke with Dave Flint, Vice President of the company regarding my need and within a few days he came out, put together a quote and one that fell into my buget and was able to install it in a relatively short period of time. Since then I've recommended this company to others with needs in Access Contro and CCTV monitoring. A great value to protect your assets.
PROS: Great way to protect yourself or your business.
Well laid out, this store offers you a easy way for you to find what your looking for and a staff that is ready to answer your questions, or help you find what you're looking for. The bottom line is always good and with the coupons they send out weekly, if you cant find a bargain...you must be a bad shopper.
If finding a great gift idea..or wanting to get that perfect item for the home..this place will give you what you want.
PROS: A great shopping experience.
