Wednesday nights are Tango classes : $5.00 7:30-8:30; stay after for tango dancing until Midnight...

Sunday nights are Swing classes : $6.00 7:pm-8:pm; again with dancing after class until Midnight.

The instructors are GREAT. The classes are FUN.

Holman's Bar & Grill

...the 'Build Your Own' Bloody Mary Bar is Epic and it happens every Sunday for breakfast / brunch. The food is great--(the chili is HOT!!), the staff is fun, friendly and attentive, the drinks are a good pour of a large selection of libations, and the best? The juke box... great music choices... (don't play the Jimi Hendrix, though... it'll be the Talking Heads two cd's up...).

All around GREAT experience.

Lucky Labrador Brew Pub

Dog-friendly businesses are ALWAYS good people... Lucky Lab has an outside area (fenced) where you can bring your dog(s) while oy enjoy your food and drink... they make some great brews here, and the food has always been great as well. A large main room indoors, plus a seperate room (or two?) for groups, meetings, etc.

They also show movies in the back parking lot during hte summer months.

...but it's all about the dogs... even if you don't have one but are just a 'dog lover', it's a great place to be!

PROS: Dog Friendly, In-House Brewery (YUM!), Friendly Staff
CONS: my dog isn't well behaved enough. :(

Lovely Hula Hands

From the intimate dining room with its relaxed casual feel to the staff who brings you amazing food and cocktails, Lovely Hula Hands is a fun experience to have again and again... great for a date night, girls night out or family gatherings.

Rimsky-Korsakoffee House

the staff here is epic! they are friendly even when under-the-gun busy~~which happens~finding a table can take a bit, but never mind--just take in the fairytale quality of your surroundings! go visit the bathroom upstairs, also!

Extreme supreme Desserts & Coffee! Great place for a date, or a group of friends and an afer-movie dissection!

Trashco Services Inc

One would not think 'customer service' is even a factor when you think of garbage service~~but no matter~~the owners & employees of TrashCo are truly exemplary...

Forgetful me placed calls on my recycling day about FIVE weeks in a row, when I kept forgetting to set out my recycling... they would graciously COME BACK to pick up my poor neglected recyclables...

Impressive business people.

PROS: Great customer service. Cute trucks.
CONS: The cute trucks probably smell. Actually, I bet they don't!

Deluxe Tattoo

I have had one tattoo done at Deluxe~~the tattoo & piercing studio that to me has a hip, Bettie-Page-Vampy yet old-school vibe... Ross et al do a great job, while paying homage to the true 'old school' artwork of artists gone by... a visit to the shop to soak in the greatness on the walls is an epic delight.

We're talking serious talent here.

PROS: Talent deluxe !!
CONS: not enough room on my body to showcase all this talent...

Mt Hood Meadows Ski Resort

I learned to ski on this mountain, and as I can recall, the lessons are great! ( don't hold onto the 'rope tow' before it starts up! ) Some super slopes to snowplow or Black Diamonds to perfect your Dinner Roll or Tail Grab...

PROS: Super skiing only an hour away!! Good apres-ski grub.
CONS: none

Faces Unlimited Inc

I consider this spa a Portland icon~~truly one of the great pioneers in Day Spa, Pat Warren has made Faces Unlimited legendary!

Just like Ms. Warren's pioneering spa spirit, the facial menu is always ahead of the game with the latest technologies and treatments of the most luxurious!

To further tempt my inner-shopaholic, the retail area is stocked with an impressive selection of all the leading skincare lines and fun baubles too!

PROS: Professional and knowledgable technicians, terrific facials!
CONS: I want to spend every day here ... !

Decades Vintage Co

...and it doesn't stop at clothes!! this store has accessories, or "artifacts" as they call them: books, kitchen pieces--cocktail shakers & sets.

The clothing is very cool chick & hep cat, but the real finds here are in the eye glasses! major frames including hte classic ( & classy ) cat eye~!

PROS: Great finds!
CONS: ?
