Target

This Target was recently revamped. It is well organized and has a lot of good deals,always check those clearance racks they have some of the best prices! The lines there have never been too horribly bad.

Marshalls

This is a rather disorganized store. I have found a few good deals but you really have to look through everything. I think they might be understaffed. Anytime I've gone there the lines are horrible. I have actually set down items and walked out.

Michigan Humane Society

I used the veterinary facility to have my dog spayed and have an umbilical hernia repaired. I believe the wait was 10 days,but they did a good job on her. I thought the vets were compassionate and informative.

PROS: Good services and competitive pricing
CONS: Hard to get through the phone lines

Sherwin-Williams Commercial Paint Store

This is a nice store, many colors and good quality paint. The service was great!
They offer a no-odor paint for people with allergies etc.-"Harmony". The coverage isn't quite as good as the regular paint, but, when the smell makes you ill it's worth it. The prices are good considering the product.

The Home Depot

They have a huge selection of grill parts! The store is clean and the service is decent. They have many replacement parts for mobile homes, appliances, paint, lumber and a lot of different hardware.

Art Van Furniture

Any time we have gone in there we were bombarded by pushy salespeople. They pulled the old bait and switch on a bed we bought, and we kind of got stuck with it. They also didn't honor their warantee on another item we had purchased there.

Gardner White

We purchsed a reclining sofa and loveseat from them after looking at several other furniture stores. They had the best selection out of anyone else and the quality and workmanship was better than the others. It took a while longer than expected to get it being it was custom, but, it was worth the wait. Pricing is competitive, Salespeople are not overly pushy.

Calico Corners

I used to go to the one in Hinsdale,IL quite often, so, when I moved I was thrilled to find we had one nearby. This store is exclusively home decor fabrics with some accessories. The savings are great in addition to the fact it's hard to find really wide bolts any where else. They also have an interesting selection.

Bon Ton Shoppe

You can find some nice gifts here from Harley collectibles to yankee candles. They also carry Stannard hand tuned windchimes which are incomparable for sound. They have some really good quality hand dipped and tapered candles that burn long, in a variety of colors. The prices are a bit high on some items others are reasonable.

Big Lots

This is one of those stores you never know what you'll find at. It's interesting to see what they have from week to week. I got some great deals on food and other items, but many times if you go back it's gone. I strongly suggest if you find a good deal there stock up!
