I haven't gotten a new tattoo in five years, or so, but the last one i got was from these guys. The art looks amazing and it was a lot of work that only took three hours, when they estimated four. good work. ALWAYS TIP YOUR TATTOO ARTIST!!!
I used to have a job where I had to drive around through downtown all day long and nothing incenced me more than the duck. They are big, distracting and loud. I'm sure that the tour itself is pretty cool, land and sea in one vehicle... but my principle won't allow me to ride the duck.
I love to support local businesses and see them flourish. I understand when they have to raise the prices to stay afloat, but developing your film is (to me) not worth 27 cents a print. that is a spendy roll of film... go digital.
The first thing you notice about Red Mill is the line stretching out the door, and you ask yourself "is it going to be worth the wait?" answer: yes. Red Mill has been my favorite burger for the last 8 years and when I move away from Seattle it will be one of the places that I miss the most.
WARNING: CASH ONLY and DO NOT TRY TO USE YOUR CELL PHONE...
When you shop at Hardwicks you are supporting a local business that is a landmark and an amazing hardware store. I go there to buy a screwdriver and walk out having spent fifty dollars on a million other things.... I love it. I am addicted to it...
the beer is made across town, the food is cheap and awesome, the service is okay... I have a very special place in my heart for anything and everything that McMennimen's does. They have hotels, bars, resorts, a winery, a distillery, a coffee roasting facillity and on and on and on....
On a Saturday night you'll hear plenty of great music, Modest Mouse, 764-HERO, The Shins, Arcade Fire, Etc... The best part of Flower's is definitely the overall quality and pricing of the drinks. There is a happy hour (4-6) and nightly drink specials, NOT TO MENTION a vegan lunch buffet for the low, low price of only 7.99.
Flower's is the the best bar on the ave and I will fight anyone who disagrees...
PROS: Vegan buffet, great music.
CONS: can be smoky.
I've seen the ads for years, the jingle gets stuck on my head inexplicably, so when it was time to buy a new mattress I thought, "Why buy a mattress anywhere else? *ding*" So, I went...
I think that, when they have a sale, the prices are probably pretty good, but overall I found them to be way more than I thought they would be. Also, the customer service leaves MUCH to be desired.
the guy who owns this place travels to the counrty of origin of almost every spice he carries. all the spices are fresh and tasty, you can have a custom blend made up especially for you and have a cup of tea and a game of chess downstairs.
From the moment you walk in the door you see that there is something about Ruby that you won't find in any onther bar on the Ave... No jocks, no meatheads, no frat boys, no t.v.'s, no pool tables... Just good music, and real human interaction...Ruby is the PERFECT place to take a date for a romantic evening on the Ave and there food is AMAZING!!
PROS: best food on the ave!
