I love this place for two reasons. One, it is family friendly - meaning that you always see families here eating and not as many teens hanging out. Two, they have a drive through. If you have a craving for ice cream or even just need a gallon of milk and you have the kids strapped into the carseat, you can just drive through and get what you need (or crave). They are also one of the few places that have peppermint ice cream, which is one of my favorites.
I vote Marble Slab my favorite ice cream place hands down. I know it is more expensive (and more fattening) than other ice cream, but it's worth every bite. They have so many flavor choices and add in combinations that I can never decide what I want. And, they have the greatest waffle cones with all sorts of things on them like chocolate, butter fingers, etc. YUM!
PROS: Best ice cream
CONS: Most expensive
This company has really thought it through when it comes to business services. They may not be the cheapest, but they are open late, you can "serve yourself", and they usually get me out of some type of bind at the last minute. They are also great for announcements or invitations or presentations. And, with the addition of FedEx, they are perfect for any business need.
Don't forget to look here for art and craft supplies, they have a great selection. They also have a nice store and a very good selection of fabric, ribbons, trimmings, etc. They are helpful if you have sewing questions and are willing to work with you on returns if you didn't get the right thing the first time.
Since this store is directly across the street from Home Depot, you may want to take the time to do some price comparison. But, overall I think they have a better selection for home interior improvements - window coverings, lighting fixtures, decorative or special order items, etc. They also have a better selection of plants and outdoor items. I like their money back guarantee if your plants die within a year of buying them.
This store is way too big and crowded, but it's your best bet for basic carpentry or hardware needs. I think that this is where you get the best savings and selection. As for gardening needs, I reccommend Lowe's. They usually have a better selection. This Home Depot has helpful people if you can actually find one to talk to you, since they are always so crowded.
Sam's has so many things that you can get at a discount that you might forget to look here first. Besides food, they have great deals on some basic clothes, books for children, CDs and DVDs, software, computer ink and paper. And, they also have the lowest prices on prescription drugs if you don't have prescription coverage. And, they also have the lowest prices on digital prints - .15 cents each!
PROS: Best prices
CONS: Have to get a membership
My husband and I love to go here for paint instead of Home Depot or Lowe's because they are a smaller store and it's so much less crowded and hectic here on the weekends. They have really good paint - we've used it in every room. You can also look at wallpaper here, but buy it at a discount store if you can - it will be cheaper. Their staff is friendly and helpful, too.
This is a nice store, but being a bargain shopper I just don't see a reason to pay full price for any cards or gifts. I have shopped here, but mainly for convenience or needing a last minute gift. If you specifically need something from Hallmark then this is a good store. The people are nice and friendly as well.
This is a Super Target and they have everything here. I used to grocery shop here, but Walmart has better prices and selections on groceries. They have such cute things to decorate your home with and unique decorative items for kids rooms. They are so hip and stylish now. They have a very good baby department and cool maternity clothes, too. Overall, I really like this store.
