Minyard Food Store
This Tom Thumb is one of the nicer ones in the area. It was very clean and well kept, and one of the few that has a Starbucks inside. My only complaint was the cashiers.....was friendly when greeting me, but then decided to ignore me afterwards and talk to the other idle cashiers about their love life. Not sure I needed to hear about it.
Staples
Right when I walked in I was immediately welcomed by a cashier and was willing to help me find an item I was looking for. They didn't have it in stock, so another employee graciously offered to check other locations to see if they had my item. After looking it up in the computer, she then called them just to make sure. I felt very attended to and they were able to answer all my questions.
The Car Guy
This is one of the best places I've been to to have my car repaired. My air conditioner went out and I knew it would cost me an arm and a leg, but bringing my car here helped to ease the blow. Much cheaper than any place else I had been to previously for an estimate. Recently under new management and the staff was pretty friendly. Brought my car in the morning, and they were done working on it later that same day!
Quiznos Sub
This isn't one of the better locations of Quizno's. I love their sandwiches and food, but this location was below par. There were extra chairs and tables stacked in the dining area. About two tables in front of me in a corner was a big puddle of some spilled liquid and a fork. A lot of the tables weren't clean either. The sandwich I ordered was barely toasted....the bread was still really soft. Employees were friendly, but that's about all that this location had going for it.
Men's Wearhouse
Had tuxedos rented from here, and the employees were very helpful in making sure everything fit properly. It's a small staff on hand, so you know you'll be getting personal attention when shopping there.
Barnes and Noble
I've always loved going to Barnes and Noble. I wish they had a better selection of books on the particular topics I'm looking for, but overall they have a great selection. It's very comfy to just go there and plop down on a seat and get lost in a magazine or book.
Subway
I love Subway sandwiches and you can never really go wrong with one. I love the bread selection, and their new option of toasting it. The cookies are good too.
Hobby Lobby
Overall I liked the selection of merchandise, and their prices are about average compared other stores. They have a big selection of clearance merchandise, though most of it is home decor merchandise. I found the customer service to be lacking.....it's kind of hard to find anyone out on the floor at times for help.
Central Market
Going to shop at Central Market is more than just shopping for groceries. It's kind of like going on an exploration......you end up discovering foods you've never heard of or seen before. You can find your everyday veggies, and then a few feet next to it you find some exotic fruit that looks like something that came out of a science fiction movie. I love the vast selection, including an olive bar, daily made pasta dishes, and pre-made dinners for two. On each return visit, you'll ALWAYS end up finding something new.
McDonald's
This is one of the nicer McDonalds in the area. It's clean and well kept. Customer service is a bit questionable at times. But more times than not, service is just fine.
