Whole Earth Provision Co
This is THE store for all your outdoor needs. The staff is very knowlegable and friendly and willing to help you with whatever you need might be. Whether you need a tent, sleepingbags, camping food, climbing gear, shoes, clothes or anythign else you can think up, Whole Earth Provosions will have it. Awesome store!
Nomadic Notions
Every bead you can imagine! That's what you'll find at Nomadic notions. They have every thing you need for beading supplies. Gems, jewelry findings, tools and of course lots and lots of beads. They even have classes to teach you how to make your own jewelry. The front half of the store is a wonderful gift shop full of many eclectic items from all over the world. One of my favorite places to shop.
San Antonio Children's Museum
The San Antonio Children's Museum is a great place to take kids of all ages. There are various centers with activities at each center that are fun, yet also teach a lesson. Most of the time the kids are not even aware that they are actually learning something. They are just having a blast playing. Also a great place for adult interaction with your kids. The centers are almost as much fon for the adults as for the kids. A must see in San Antonio!
Learning Express
I love this store and so do my kids. The toy in this store are geared towards educating kids and yet they are still fun. The only downside I can find is that they are a bit pricy, but they large, unusual variety makes it worth the cost. I love that my kids get excited about learning while having fun. Best place to go for toys that you cannot find anywhere else. Staff is very nice and helpful.
Barton Creek Square Mall
This is a great mall located on top of a hill overlooking the georgeous Austin hill country. The facilities are always kept neat and clean. Barton Creek has a lrge assortment of speciality stores and several large anchor stores. Some of these stores cannot be found in any other Austin malls. Parking is very open and easily accessable.
Brinegar Jerry W
This mall is located in a very busy, very hard to reach area. Though they do have the full range of stores, the mall is always very crowded and usually is not all that clean. I try to not go this mall unless I absolutely have to.
Party City
This is the best place to buy party supplies. They carry a large line of character birthday supplies for the kids. They also have great seasonal departments for Halloween and Christmas. They are great for large balloon bouquet orders and can usually get them done quickly.
Lakeline Mall
This is a very nice mall in a beautiful location on the edge of the Austin area hill country. They have a large assortment of speciality stores and also several large anchor stores. The facilities are always kept very nice and clean. Located on a very busy highway intersection area.
Ingram Park Mall
Though this mall is large and has a lot of store choices, it is not my first choice for mall shopping. This mall is getting older and has that run down feel. It is always very crowded. Appearance wise it is usually tidy but not necessarily clean. However, it is the closest mall to me so I tend to go there is I just need to run in for one thing.
MacY's
We have always love shoping at this mall. There are a large assortment of speciality shops and also many large anchor stores. The mall just recently went through renovations and is now very nice in appearance. The only drawback is it's location at a very busy intersection.
