The Home Depot
I am a female, and normally when a female walks into a hardware store, they are treated as if they do not know what they are looking for. This Home Depot is different though. I tend to do a lot of home repair and hobby building at my house and the staff at this location have always been ready to help me with what ever my current project. The lumbar section is always well stocked with good quality lumber at a great price. Through out the store I am able to find whatever I need to build, repair or inhance and project I amd in the middle of. I highly recommen this location.
Toys R Us
This location is now one of the Geoffrey's stores and is a great place for kids. They have a large variety of toys that are divided up by type and age group. They also have a large clothing selection and usually have several sale going on that make their clothing a good value. In the front of the store, they have a birthday party room and a large birthday supply section. They also have a kids craft/activity room and have planned activities most days of the week. The staff is very helpful and very kid friendly.
Michaels
Especially this Michaels. The parking lot is very easy to get in and out of. The store is very well stocked with any kind of craft supply you can imagine and usually very clean. Every week there is a coupon in the Sunday ads that makes a lot of these items a great deal! The employees are very helpful and very good at recommending a product to fit my needs. I always enjoy my trips to this store because I come out with what I need for my current project, usually a few more items that I went in for and lots of ideas for new projects to try in the future.
Chuy's
This is our very favorite TexMex restaurant in San Antonio. The atmosphere is very eclectic and is decorated in a very fun, colorful style. The food is incredible. Each meal begins with the best tortilla chips, that they make freash in the restauruant, and a wide variety of sauces. Our favorite sauce is the jalapeno ranch sauce, but you have to request that one as it is not one of the usuals that they bring out with the chips. I have not had a bad item on the minue yet. We usually stick with our favorites though, the boritos, which can easily feed two or more people. I highly recommend this location.
Rudys Country Store & Bar B Q Number 1
Rudy's is the only bbq restaurant we will eat at. The meat is always cooked to perfection and delicious.The sauce is incredible, the perfect amount of seasoning and just a little but of hot. The staff is very friendly and quick to make a recommendation if you're not quite sure what you want. I love the atmosphere of this place. The food is served on butcher paper and they have a large dining patio for enjoying the great Texas weather. We love to eat there any time we can and recommend Rudy's to all our friends.
Starbucks
This is the closest Starbucks to me, but also one of the smallest. There are only a couple of tables inside with a couple of chairs each and no group seating. However the outside seating makes up for it if the weather permits. They have several metal tables on a side patio that can be pulled together if you have a large group of people like we usually do when we go out for coffee. The staff is friendly and knowlegable of their coffee and we have never had problems with them getting our orders right.
Rome's Pizza
We love our Romes Pizza! This our favorite restaurant in San Antonio and we visit it often. It looks like a small mom and pop shop, but the pizza is far superior to any other pizza place in town. Romes offers a large vairety of toppings and wide variety of size options. There are several pizzas listed on their menu that seem a little odd, but we have tried most of them and have loved every one. I especially love the quaint, small cafe atmosphere of Romes. This is defiantely one of San Antonio's best pizza places.
Chili's Grill & Bar
This is not one of my favorite places to eat. While the food is good most of the time, the restaurant always feels crowded, even in off peak hours. Maybe the tables are too close together. Though we normally get seated right away, we have always had to wait for long periods of time for our waiter to come take our drink order and even longer for our food. This is not and easy thing for families like ours with four small children to keep entertained.
H-E-B Pharmacy
This is one of my favorite locations for grocery shopping. The store is always very clean and well stocked. Employees are very helpful. The friut and vegetible section is wonderful here. My kids love to come with me and pick out all their favorites and I know we will be getting good quality foods. I recommend this store for your grocery shopping needs.
Great Northwest Animal Hospital
The doctors and staff at this location are very helpful and understanding. I adopted two kittens from their adoption center and have also taken my dog in for treatment. He was very sick and we thought he wasn't going to make it. The staff was so nice and reassuring. The were so gentle with our dog, and he pulled through just fine. They also have a large variety of pet supplies for sale. Highly recommended.
