Sam's Club
This is a great location - the people are friendly, prices are reasonable, and service is good. I got my tires changed at this location, and not only were the prices good, the service was great. I can take my car back at any time to get the tires rotated for free. This was a great place for automotive work.
Joe's Auto Repair
I have been to Joe's twice - once to get my oil changed, and once to replace my starter. Joe is an extremely knowledgeable guy - he knows what he is doing, and does not take advantage of his customers. I am a college girl, and he did not try to trick me into buying things I do not need. I really appreciated Joe's willingness to help me. This place is great - it is not a chain, and offers great service.
Washington Mutual
This bank is pretty nice - it is a full service location with an ATM. The one drawback is that Friday afternoons often get so crowded that you cannot park in the tiny lot (pay day). On these days, there is also a long line for the ATM. Otherwise, the bank suits all of my needs.
Verizon Wireless
I went in to this Verizon store to get my broken phone replaced, and not only was the process gruelingly slow and the lady rude, but the phone exchange was not completed - the lady forgot to activate my new phone! The service at this store was terrible, and I vow to never go there again.
Concession Air Restaurant
This airport is easier to get in to and out of, but security lines are always long - especially early in the morning. It is not a great airport, but is suitable for most travel needs. The biggest drawback is the slow security system - it is frustrating to wait in line for 1/2 hour.
San Diego International Airport Lindbergh Field
This airport is very user friendly - the security lines are never ridiculously long, gates are close to security, and staff is friendly. This airport also has a Starbucks, which is always a great thing to have around :). It is kept pretty nice, and generally is a pleasure to travel out of.
Strand Nails
This is a great little place. The ladies are very friendly (they don't even talk behind your back as they do your nails!) The prices are good - a pedicure only costs 13 dollars, and they only charge 4 dollars to paint your toenails! :) The place itself is not very nice, but the people and prices make up for what the building lacks.
Electric Chair
The Electric Chair is a great salon - the people are friendly, knowledgeable, and skilled. They can do everything from haircuts to coloring to waxing. Everything is done well, and hair dyes are of an extremely high quality. The atmosphere is very trendy, with a stylish staff and an interestingly designed salon.
Koa Kampgrounds
This park, set above the LA valley, is extremely nice. The facilities are decent, with a large meeting room available for special events. The park has a view of the San Bernadino mountains and has a clean, beautiful atmosphere. I would recommend this park to anyone who wants to get away. :)
24 Hour Fitness
This gym is one of the nicer 24 Hour locations I have seen. The equipment is clean and high quality, the pool, though it is small, is a nice length. The club is not too crowded, and has an open feel. The club is set up as one huge open room with a few smaller rooms. The smaller rooms are for group X, basketball, and the pool. The staff is friendly. The one draw back to this club is that like other 24 Hour clubs, there is no sense of community or personal atmosphere.
