A visit to Double H Western Wear is great fun! The kids love it. They have the largest selection of western clothing and accessories in the area. The items are of high quality, if a bit expensive. We go in frequently to purchase feed for our pets and animals. Their customer service is excellent (they'll carry the 50+ pound sacks out for you!) and they are also knowledgable. They offer helpful suggestions even when it means shopping somewhere else.
This is not your regular feed store, though they carry many of the supplies we need for our pets and animals. Copper Creek Mercantile is filled with many unique and whimsical items for the home and farm. It is so much fun to visit and browse. The items their are expensive, though as a specialty store that isn't really surprising. The dog food and such is only slightly more expensive than a chain store and the service is great.
If you've ever been tempted to jump into quilting, this is the store for you. Greenbaum's Quilted Forest is a great first step. The people are so very knowledgable and can help you improve your skills, regardless of your current level. The selection of fine fabrics make quilting so much fun. It really gets the creative juices flowing to visit and browse through the store.
Many of the best wedding, graduation and senior pictures you've seen in the area were taken by Daniels Photography. The quality is top notch. The pictures and service are very expensive but for those once in a lifetime moments well worth it. I have honestly never heard ANYONE be disappointed in the photographs they've gotten from Daniels Photography. They are amazing.
We came to Oak park Family Dental Care when my husband was in need of a crown. We shopped around and found that they were on the low end of cost. After visiting their office, we felt comfortable going with them and scheduled the work to be done. Everything went fine and we were happy for awhile. It wasn't long however and the crown failed. The next dentist we visited told us that lesser materials were used in the process. In the long run, we didn't save anything.
I have worked with Mid Valley Presort and Mailing on more than one occassion. Though we've run into the occassional snag here and there (usually an oops on our end, not their's) we have always been able to work it out and finish the job on time. Their service is a great time saver for those time sensitive bulk mailings that need to get done fast.
I have both sent and received items via Mid Valley Delivery Service several times. I've never had a problem with them. The delivery has always gone off without a hitch, even when directions or needs are complicated. Because they are filling a nitch market, their services can be a bit expensive. That said, when you want it done local and done right it is worth it.
I've visited Salem Coin & Stamp now and then over the years, often when I am looking for a unique gift. They have a great selection and are knowledgable. It's fun to go in there even if you don't find just what you are looking for. Often they will have great suggestions and their prices are within what you'd expect. The prices on the coin protectors was better than average, I've found.
My husband I enjoy going to Shryock's Mens Wear to browse. Their selection is vast and a little different that the norm. The items we find there are usually of exceptionally nice quality and unique. Shryock's alteration and tailoring services are great and they pay careful attention to detail. They also carry a nice amount of formal wear and even some children's clothing.
I've visited Rags To Riches from time to time over the last several years. I have both been a customer and an consigner. While I was disappointed as a consigner I have been very pleased as a customer. Don't be deceived by the small appearance of their store. They have a good selection in both style and size. Their prices are reasonable and I've been able to find that "just right" item I've been looking for more than once.
