Good selection on bread, buns and other stuff and the prices can't be beat.
Some of the specialty breads that are $3 in the stores sell for $1.79 for two (buy one, get one free).
Freshness is never an issue and I find the bread products I buy here last just as long as if I'd bought them at the grocery.
PROS: Selectino and prices!
CONS: closed Sunday and Monday - open at 1030am (later than most stores)
This small donut shop is much like all the rest - with the typical offerings and nothing that separates it from the rest.
The service is passable, without any frills, but they seem to do well on the health inspections!
The fancier donuts sell out early, so get there close to when they open (around 5am) for the best choices
PROS: Open early (5am or so) and clean
CONS: nothing outstanding in their offerings
This smallish neighborhood Y caters to the youth and elderly crowds, with a basic exercise room, a few classes and a pool.
They offer on-site babysitting and a handball and raquetball court, for those who really want to sweat!
The Y is typically less expensive than the chic workout joints, and this one is no different!
PROS: Small (not alot of fashion plate workout people)
CONS: limited classes, close weeknights at 9pm
AJ's has a pretty decent selection of used cars, some with really high miles, so look out!
Compared to Kelly Blue Book, they're competitive price-wise and they seem to cater to those folks with 'not so perfect credit'.
PROS: selection and price
Unique flowers and arrangements, along with online ordering make Twigs a great choice if you're looking to impress with the gift of flowers!
Their store features an extensive selection of gift items, from unique candles, aromatherapy items and more!
They will take the time to decide what will best fit your request, and they offer delivery in the local area for $5.00.
Open 830a-5p M-F and 9a-5p Saturday, closed (with no deliveries) on Sunday.
Stop by and get lost in the wonder!
PROS: Selection, unique gifts and personalized service
On my first visit to Dr. Jan, we spent about 1 hour together, with her taking a complete history from me, as well as performing a complete physical.
She only sees one new patient per day (when she takes new patients) and she really does give personalized attention to each patient.
The staff is sometimes harried and disorganized; however, Dr. Jan seems to be able to always figure out which end is up!
PROS: personalized care and attention
CONS: sometimes disorganized support staff
Good selection of plants, and they all look healthy and thriving; however, you must buy a whole flat of each item you select!
They do have some interesting huge plants, with an appropriately big price tag too!
The staff is helpful if you have general gardening/landscape questions and they'll load your purchases into your vehicle without even asking!
PROS: Good selection - some different plants found here
CONS: Must buy a whole flat, not a few plants here and there
Sid Parker Stone offers sales and delivery of the basic stones for almost any landscaping project, incuding flagstone, ledgestone, building stone, boulders and gravel!
Delivery is easy to arrange; however, I found them to be a bit pricier than other landscape stone providers.
CONS: Limited selection and pricier than other stone vendors!
This is about the only place I've found where the ribs really DO fall off the bone! I get them without sauce, and they're fabulous, just like that.
A plate dinner is served with your choice of meat (or two if you'd like) and two sides, including corn, green beans, potato salad and cole slaw.
They have a place for fixin's and the service is always friendly.
Call ahead for a to-go order and it'll be ready for you when you arrive.
Expect to pay about $10 for a meal, and leave with BBQ sauce on your face and a full belly!
PROS: Ribs are amazing!
This Arlington landmark has been around for years, and from the looks of the inside, they forgot to take down their holiday decorations, for the past 20 years!
You'll find a train scooting around the tracks overhead, flashing holiday decorations and tons of kitschy stuff to keep your whole party busy!
Chips, queso and salsa come with every meal for free, and the lunch specials are a bargain, most under $10.
Fajitas for one are huge, and the rest of the menu provides the typical Mexican food offerings, with the noted exceptions of ostrich, buffalo and rattlesnake, if that's your cup of tea!
Service is sometimes harried and weekends are packed so go early or go way late!
PROS: Atmosphere, lunch prices
CONS: Very crowded in weekends, sometimes rushed servers!
