Ginseng Yoga is a very aesthetically pleasing studio. The studio is simple and not distracting. They are very reasonably priced and offer many pricing options. They also have a small boutique. I highly recommend Mercedes' classes.
Taste is an amazing shop. They carry a variety of gourmet items, cheese servers, and cheese accompaniments in addition to the imported artisan cheeses. The staff's love for cheese really shows. The shop also makes gift baskets and flowers. Try the epoisses!
Aniata has a very extensive selection of imported cheeses at decent prices. The staff is very knowledgable about cheese and is very willing to help you select the perfect cheese.
The Playa Gallery is a salon/art gallery combination. The owner and main stylist, Ron, is amazing. He is very creative and talented and the salon is very reasonably priced. They are currently expanding to include more stylists and other services. They also have frequent gallery openings and rotating art shows.
Gila Rut is a beautiful salon with an extensive list of services. The stylists and estheticians are well-trained and thorough, however, the salon is very expensive and they are very high pressure with product sales.
Mark and Marie Kastner are the most caring accupuncturists. They help you develop a plan for treatment and are genuinely concerned about your health. They have saved my back and my shoulder!
Souplantation is a buffet style restaurant. The salad bar has a lot of variety. They offer 4-5 different soups on a daily rotation as well as three varieties of pasta. The bakery has muffins, breads and pizza.
Filippis is a San Diego favorite. They have a variety of pizzas and other Italian specialties. The anti pasta salad is really good and very filling. The portions are generous.
Coco's serves all three meals of the day and tops them off with an excellent selection of pies and other baked goodies. The menu is quite extensive. The stuffed rigatoni is surprisingly good.
La Salsa is a nice takeout mexican place, not the standard greasy fair from all of those "berto" places. They use black beans in their food and have a variety of salsas to choose from.
