This store always has had some kind of uppity attitude that I dislike in a department store. Their prices are always inflated even when they are having sales which they don't seem to do very often. There never is any sales help and even the cash registers are located in inconvenient places.
This bookstore has a lot of interesting selections. They have a great children's book section at the back of the store. They also have tables at the entrance of the store that have an interesting mix of sales items. You can find some good buys at these tables if you look around.
If you are visiting Oregon and you are looking for some gifts to take home with you, Made in Oregon has a good selection. They feature Oregon made products such as jams. They also have many items that portray the beauty of Oregon's natural areas.
The staff in this record store are good at helping you find music. The store has some good deals and also stocks a fairly large section of music dvds. You can also find some small electronic supplies here such as cd players. They have some good prices.
If you are very involved in running or other sports that require special shoes, this may be the place to go. But the store is so small, the choice of shoes is limited. The prices are expensive even if you are expecting to pay a bit for quality shoes.
JC Penney's is one of the main department stores at Valley River Center. Even though I check the other major stores, I always seem to end up buying clothes at Penney's. The prices are fairly high but the sales can bring them down to almost half price. No real sales help on the floor to speak of but there are convenient cashiers located throughout the place.
Duck shop is for all your University of Oregon products. This is where the real diehard sports fans shop for things like U of O t-shirts and novelty items. A lot of the community spirit is supplied by this place. Prices are quite high which can be expected for this kind of place.
Although this Claires sells some of the same items that are sold in Eugene, it is a considerably smaller store. The aisles are narrow and the store is packed with merchandise. I prefer going to the one in Eugene for their larger selection of goods.
Claires is good for cheap items that are in fashion. They carry a wide selection of jewelry and you can find things here for under five bucks. The only real clothes they carry are some low cost sandals and handbags. This is a fun place to look at trendy merchandise and the sales people are helpful.
There are ususally good deals outside this store but the quality of those products is not great. Even though this craft store has something for every common craft, the selection is not great.Unless you use a coupon, the prices are average.
