Claim Jumper Restaurant
This is a great place to take your aunts, uncles, grandparents etc all at once! They are also very kid-friendly with a great kids menu. The adult menu is quite extensive-pretty much anything you could possibly crave is listed in their menu. Their portions are enormous--one plate is enough for one or two, and their desserts are to die for! Their pricing is great!The atmosphere and decor are a fun and relaxing wild west look with comfortable seating.

The Copper Pot Cafe
If you are looking for a quick lunch without all the grease of the "fast food" joints, The Copper Pot Cafe in Anthem is great! They are open for lunch and dinner and offer unique sandwiches, soups, and entrees. Recommendations include the BLT & A sandwich, the Cobb Sandwich, and you MUST have the sweet potato chips with your sandwich-they are made fresh at the cafe! The dinner entrees are alittle pricey but delicious tasting. They are especially known for their meatloaf. Anthem does not have alot of great restaurants, but this is a nice sandwich place right in town.

Shanghai Club
It would be nice if Anthem had a great chinese restaurant but it does not. This place started off great, the food is not bad tasting and their thai fried rice is the best I have ever tried, but their Maricopa County health code violations have kept many Anthem residents away. They have had numerous health code violations, on several different inspections over the past year and I would not go back until they start to have better ratings.
PROS: Great thai fried rice
CONS: Too many health code violations on numerous inspections.
Pappadeaux Seafood Kitchen
Pappadeaux has great, fresh seafood! They are family friendly with a great kids menu, and the atmosphere is alittle noisy but relaxed. Try their horseradish crusted halibut or the broiled salmon with alexander sauce. Their exotic drinks are yummy too, and their dessert tray is to die for! They do not take reservations, so be prepared to wait on Friday and Saturday nights!
PROS: Fresh seafood; family friendly
CONS: Do not take reservations-long wait on the weekends after 5pm
Luna Pizza & Restaurant
After searching the Phoenix area for four years for great New York style pizza, we finally found the place! Luna pizza has great sauce, with just the right amount of cheese. You can watch them make the hand tossed crust while you wait! A great place to go after going to the movies with your family-delicious pizza without breaking your wallet!
PROS: Great NY style pizzas
CONS: No cons!
Indulge Salon & Day Spa
Indulge salon may be off the beaten path for most Phoenicians, but it is worth the drive to have Kristy R do your hair. She is very knowledgable about coloring techniques and keeps up with the latest hair trends. She is truly a class act and always acts professional. In the past I was very picky about my hair and who touched it but since starting with Kristy three years ago I have never had to worry about my hair again. She uses great products and has a great assistant (Gretchen) and always has attention to detail. Make sure you book in advance--she is popular and books up weeks in advance!
PROS: Great colorist, great stylist, very professional
CONS: Book in advance, she is popular; salon is always busy
