Cameron Mitchell Restaurants
The Ocean Club part of the Easton Town Center. Just like all Cameron Mitchell restaurants, the decor is well suited for the cuisine. In this case, it's seafood and it's done very well! The she crab bisque is fabulous and each entree that I've had is wonderful. It's a lighter, brighter and more casual atmosphere than the Mitchell steakhouses. Since it's at the town center, you can often find a lively crowd at the bar. Great dining experience.
Brio Italian Grille
If you're familiar with the Lindy's downtown, you can expect the same quality food, great service and enjoyable atmosphere at the Lindy's located within the Polaris Fashion Place.
Although the American cuisine menu is slightly different, most all entrees are fabulous. They also have the delicious lobster bisque and, if you are a chocoholic like me, you'll undoubtedly enjoy the warm chocolate cake (yum)!
Texas Roadhouse
Texas Road House is what you would expect from a steakhouse chain. This one seems to have a nice atmosphere with some special events throughout the week (e.g. karoake night). The steaks are well seasoned and most other items are good (although the salads are nothing to write home about). It can get loud since the bar is located in the center of the restaurant but not so much that it ruins your dining experience.
Claggs' Waste Disposal Svc
Claddagh is located at the corner of Polaris Parkway and Sancus Blvd. The food is quite tasty - your standard Irish fare including fish and chips, corned beef and cabbage, shepherds pie, among many others. The service is typically very good and there is a great happy hour.
Tim Hortons
Tim Hortons is owned by Wendy's. This location on Rt. 23 shares the building with Wendy's but it provides an alternative to greasy fries and burgers commonly associated with fast food. For the most part, the food is good and served quickly. Most meals are served with a doughnut if you have a sweeth tooth!
Bob Evans
Usually when people choose to eat at a restaurant chain, they know what to expect. When you stop in at Bob Evans at the corner of Polaris Parkway and Rt 23 (just in front of Giant Eagle and the strip mall with Michael's and Marshalls), they succeed in delivering a meal to your expectations. Meals come quickly and affordably. No surprises here.
August Max Woman Polaris Mall
August Max Woman is a plus-size women's clothing store in the Polaris Fashion Place. It is the plus line for Casual Corner (located on the lower level beside Casual Corner and Petite Sophisticate). I think this company has suffered from a disconnect with women - the styles are not really current (way too much polyester)!
Petite Sophisticate
I used to love Petite Sophisticate when shopping for work but it seems that over the last few years, their clothing isn't keeping up with the times. I've been less than impressed the few times I've been in the store (at Polaris Fashion Place) - way too much polyester! It's always been a challenge to find nice petite clothes - and now there's one less store to help meet that challenge.
Talbots
I've been lucky a few times at Talbot's, although it appears that most of their clothing appeals to a more mature crowd than those who would shop at J Crew or Banana Republic. In the Polaris Fashion Place, they have a regular and a petite Talbot's stores. Very classic styles - some dated IMO - with wide selection.
PROS: Wide selection, convenient location in Polaris Fashion Place
CONS: Seems to target mature audience, some styles seem dated
Cj Banks
When I shop for my mother, this is one of the first places I hit. It's very casual plus-size women's clothing that are appropriate for work or play. It's stylish but not terribly trendy. Clothes look comfy and well-made. You can often get fabulous deals!
PROS: Priced right and wide selection of plus-size womens apparel
CONS:
