Music Store
This store is conveniently located next to a great Chinese restaurant, so I am always tempted to stop in and browse. However, I have been disappointed repeatedly in their selection and staff.
The store carries mostly guitars, with a few drum kits and woodwinds thrown in. They sell some accessories, but not basics like violin strings, which I would expect any music store to stock.
Their staff is snooty, rude, and completely uneducated about what the store sells and offers. Any question I've ever had (what age do you start piano lessons? do you carry violin strings? do you offer Suzuki Method?) has been met with a puzzled glance and a dash to find someone else to wait on me.
I don't know how they stay in business, but it won't be through me.

East Valley Diagnostic Imaging
I had a screening done here and I found their staff to be mostly friendly, but gruff. I got the feeling that they see a TON of people daily and weren't really concerned with me as an individual.
However, the facility was well equipped, clean and my results came back quickly. I was well informed of exactly what would happen during and after the test and it all went seamlessly. If I hadn't gotten the impression that it was run by robots, I would have felt a lot more positive about the whole experience.

I recently had to go to the emergency room at Chandler Regional and I was very impressed. They saw me very quickly, were able to perform a series of high level tests and the doctor who treated me was very good. They are understaffed as most hospitals are, but they were very professional and everything ran smoothly.
Cookies From Home
Cookies from Home offers cookie bouquets, cookie assortments and other delicious gifts for every occasion. If you have someone that flowers just don't seem "right" for, send them some cookies! They also make great corporate "thank you" gifts or promotions.
The presentation is fantastic and their shop is a lot of fun to browse through. The cookies themselves are OK, but not the greatest cookies ever. However, if you are looking for a gift that will catch someone's eye and look impressive, Cookies from Home is a good choice.

Those Were The Days
Those Were the Days is a great used book shop specializing in antique and out-of-print books. They also carry a few new books.
Their shop is small, but packed with treasures. You'll find every subject covered, from pottery to pigs. This is a wonderful place to spend a few hours browsing through books you've never heard of or forgotten about.
If you're looking for something in particular, chances are they can special order it for you. Their staff is helpful and knowledgeable and their prices are very reasonable.
Lotions & Potions
Lotions and Potions has super lotions and body products. They work really well and what I love is that you don't have to use a lot of them. One bottle of lotion can last for over a year because a little goes a really long way.
If you are pregnant, their Uncle Den's Special Blend is wonderful. It helps keep your skin from getting dry and itchy and also prevents stretch marks.
All their products are lightly scented and smell great. You won't get heavily perfumed stuff here, but instead everything smells fresh and clean.

Arrow Pest Control
Arrow Pest Control offers honest service and does a great job. Their technicians are very knowledgable and will help you find ways within your home to keep from having so many bugs. They understand the products they use and are happy to talk to you about any concerns you might have.

Campus Corner
If you need anything at all with the ASU logo, this is the place to look. From sweatshirts to mouse pads and bobblehead Sparky dolls, this place has it all. Moms and dads should make it their first stop after registering their new students.
Oreck
The Oreck store only sells Oreck vacuums, but if you are looking for supplies such as bags or attachments, this is a great place to look. They have anything you need related to an Oreck vacuum and if they don't have it they'll order it. Their staff is knowledgeble and helpful.
Arizona Cactus Sales
Arizona Cactus sells mostly, well, cactus. If you are looking for anything from a small potted cactus all the way up to a giant saguaro, you'll find it here. Their prices are very reasonable and the plants are healthy and well taken care of. It's a great place to begin your desert landscaping.
