Salt River Tubing Recreational & Shuttle Services
Salt River tubing is a college tradition around here. You take a cooler full of beer and pack in on an intertube while you and your friends float down the river with it. It's great for an afternoon of adult fun, but I would not suggest it for a family.
PROS: Fun, cool
CONS: Crowded, lots of drunks falling in the river
Marriott-Buttes Resort
We were very disappointed by our last visit to the Buttes. The room was shabby, the walls were paper thin and there was a very weird smell that permeated everything.
The grounds are beautiful and the conference center is nice, but the hotel rooms leave a lot to be desired.
Armor Plumbing & Boiler
These are some of the nicest guys around. They do quick, good work and are happy to explain what went wrong and how you can keep it from happening again. They're extremely helpful and knowledgable.

Fakeri Tallor & Clothier
My husband just had a suit altered at Fakeri and they did an incredible job. The jacket and pants were both completed in one day and fit to perfection.

Scottsdale Fashion Square
This mall is the largest in the Valley and you should plan on devoting an entire day to shopping there. There are some very exclusive stores like Neiman Marcus, Kate Spade, Tumi and Tiffany along with the usual mall stores like Gap and Express.
There are 5 different levels, so shopping with a stroller or wheelchair is a nightmare, but if shopping is your passion, this is paradise.
T Mobile
Fiesta Mall was renovated last year and really improved the experience there. Their new children's play area is very nice and fun, and the new flooring and decor makes it a much nicer place to shop. The anchors and most of the stores are still the same. They have one of the few Disney stores left in the Valley and there is also a Gymboree outlet there for kids clothes.
Dvd Trading Company
The DVD Trading Company repaired several DVDs that I was ready to throw away. I had tried expensive several products to remove scratches, but for $2 each they were able to actually make my DVDs viewable again.
Valley Of The Sun
This is a small but very nice funeral home. The cemetery is well kept and the services held here always seem to be very well done. Their chapel is quiet and tastefully decorated.
Lane Merrill Mc LPC
Merrill is an excellent grief and depression counselor. Her sympathetic approach and useful suggestions helped me get through a very difficult time in life.
The Apartment Movers
These guys did a fantastic job moving us. We had much more stuff than they expected, but they did an efficient and careful job. Not one thing was scratched or broken and they worked extremely hard until the job was done.
