Big Lots
This is the very first Big Lots (formerly Odd Lots) in the Columbus area. It is well over 20 years old. This is also the largest Big Lots that we have. It carries everything from personal care items to furniture and just about all else in between. Many items are not name brand but many are. The grocery section is quite large. Chances are you will save money shopping here. The store does show it's age on the outside somewhat but it is fairly clean on the inside.
Just Because Gifts & More
This is one spectacular store. I don't think I've ever seen a local gift shop with this much selection. I love visiting and can very quickly lose track of time. They have everything from candles, to baskets, all kinds of collectibles, OSU stuff, just more than I could possibly list. They have the largest collection of Boyds Bears I have ever seen. It will just blow your mind. Prices are pretty good and they often have sales and mail out coupons. It is owned by a husband and wife. Everyone there is very personable.
White's Pharmacy
I think this is a quaint little place. Not only is it a pharmacy that has been around for many years but one side of it is a Hallmark store. To me, it has that old fashioned feel of some of the shops I remember as a kid. The Hallmark side is not real big but it always has nice items. The pharmacy offers free blood pressure testing everyday. Prescriptions can be mailed and delivered. They also have wheelchairs and walkers for sale or rental. (They have some medical equipment). They are closed on Sundays.
Caskey Cleaning Co
This is absolutely the best dry cleaners in the central Ohio area hands down! I've not found anywhere that is cheaper. It may be a bit out of the way but it is more than worth the drive. It is a huge place and very busy. You should allow at least one week for pick-up. They do have rush service but obviously that is more. Great place that does a great job that has been around for years
JcPenney Portrait Studio
This is where we got our little girl's first professional picture's taken. The pictures turned out absolutely fabulous. Excellent color and quality. They give you a wide array of photo packages to choose from. It takes approximately one month for the pictures to be ready. I liked the option of seeing them on-line first and being able to let other family members view them as well. Make sure if you get a coupon in the mail that you don't forget to bring it with you or YOU WON'T GET THE DISCOUNT. The actual photo session went rather smoothly for our six month old. The photographer knew how to make her pose, laugh, etc. The only problem was she was the only employee on duty and had to stop several times to answer the phone and wait on walk-in customers. This interrupted our session because the baby was getting fidgety by that time.
Applebee's Neighborhood Grill & Bar
One of our favorite things about Applebee's is the half price appetizers. They have this special everyday from 3 - 7 p.m. Everything on their menu is scrumptous and they have just recently added even more goodies. In addition, they do have a Weight Watchers section. Don't let anyone tell them it's your birthday, because you will be sung to by the entire wait staff.
Dress Barn
It is so nice to finally have a quality women's clothing store in our area. This store has a great selection of mostly dresses (hence the name) but also has skirts and pant suits as well. In addition, they carry accessories such as jewelry, shoes, pantyhose, purses, etc. They carry both Missy and Womens sizes. They also have a store credit card. Sales are run frequently.
Jolly Pirate Donuts
This is where we go to get a fix for our donut cravings! Nothing quite like a hot cup of coffee and a fresh, warm donut! They have any kind of donut you may want. In addition they also make apple fritters and some other goodies. The earlier you go the more selection they have of course. The staff is mostly elderly but they do a great job.
Donatos Pizza
You can always rely on Donatos to have fresh, hot pizza. I think their taste is unique. Their subs are good as well. This location has a nice size dining area. They also have pick-up and delivery service. I like the survey they are doing. For every 25th completed phone survey, you are eligible to win a free medium size pizza. Who doesn't like free!
Lowe's
This is a good store to purchase all of your home improvement needs. The store has absolutely everything you may need for large and small projects, They also carry some Sauder furniture as well as outdoor patio furniture. Employees are easy to find throughout the store and are very helpful as well.
