If you're a Steeler's fan, come out and watch the games while you enjoy the best pizza around. Actually, you can come just for the pizza because it's the best around! Bring quarters so the kids can hit up the game arcade!
We drove to the back and got on line. When it was our turn we pulled into the shop, they asked what the problem was, did some diagnosing, and charged up her air conditioning. I was impressed with the speed that we got in and out, quite a system. The guy who helped us was friendly and seemed to know what he was doing. The price was average for the area.
PROS: Quick and easy in and out.
We buy the tires for our son's bicycle here and the guys are always very friendly and helpful. There are a lot of neat bikes to look at, and great accessories. A lot of items can be bought for less at WalMart, but it's fun to shop in local stores and not big chains. They have a couple of dogs in the back that the kids love to get permission to pet. Don't worry, they aren't wandering in the store!
This store is like a wonderland of items, small and large. They have some very nice hair items, clips, brushes, etc. It's a good place to pick up party supplies like paper plates and cups, or small gifts for children's party bags. Up front there are seasonal items when the Fourth of July or Christmas roll around. A nice store to wander in, and I guarantee you'll spend a few dollars!
They are always friendly and knowledgeable. My young son bought a knife there and when it fell apart, they replaced it for him with no questions asked. They keep a good stock of standard auto items and will help you find what you need if they don't have it.
PROS: Great staff, nice store, good parking
They were good when they were Home Delivered Meals, and they are excellent as Ambers Jewel Catering. Their food is very tasty and portion size is excellent. They have a tomato salad in oil and vinegar that is a side dish you can use with just about anything. They are friendly, honest, and will work with you to make your event even more special.
PROS: Honest and friendly!
Fascinating! Actual artifacts from the Titanic, a guided tour through replicas of areas of the ship. You can stand on a replica of the deck and view the stars as they were the night that the Titanic sank. Then go inside and press your hand against ice that is the temperature of the ocean water the night of the sinking. The Grand Staircase was beautiful, but seemed smaller than I imagined it, even though it's a life-size replica. Typically priced for the Orlando area, parking is good. There are a number of nice shops in the Mercado that are nice for shopping before or after. Definitely worth the price of a ticket!
Yep, complete with steam venting from it and creaky noises that make it sound like it's about to come down. Typically priced for an Orlando attraction, the place offers great hands on activities for kids and adults. We were entranced by the shadow wall....strike a pose against a white wall, wait for the strobe flash, and when you move, your shadow is left on the wall! Absolutely wonderful place to spend a day. There's a refreshment stand downstairs and a laser tag room upstairs (extra charge). Kids and adults will love it!
PROS: Loads of fun for the whole family!
CONS: Parking is down the street and may cost extra.
We've been here twice and enjoyed it both times. The downside is getting there early enough to get a table close to the arena (which might not happen depending on how they call you for seating). While you wait there is musical entertainment and a bar serving alcohol and soft drinks. When you're seated, you are in a stadium style arena at a long table. Dinner is served and includes prime rib or veggie lasagna, with chicken fingers for the kiddies. The show is extraordinary, complete with a silly genie and a princess who needs to be rescued. It is almost completely done on horseback. The finale is splendid and you will be sorry when it's over! Pictures are taken of you and your party as you enter and offered in a package that includes a 5x7 print and a large keychain picture. Too expensive, but we bought it anyway just to have a reminder of our fabulous evening!
PROS: Wonderful entertainment, spectacular horsemanship!
We had a membership here for two years and it was wonderful! There are lots of hands on exhibits for children of all ages. When my kids were small they especially enjoyed the kids room where there is a variety of activities including harvesting oranges, floating boats and building dams, blowing bubbles. A glass elevator takes you from floor to floor and you look out over a 'swamp' with huge trees and fish. There is a fascinating room with drawers full of objects to touch and smell, and an exchange where you can bring interesting things you've found around Florida. The Cinedome is incredible, and now the movies are included in the complete admission package for around $15. There are also exhibits that change, so going back several times a year can be a whole new experience. We loved the dinosaur dig!
PROS: Great learning adventures!
