I feel a bit sorry for this and other Rite Aids for having to compete with CVS. CVS is by far the better store, leaving this store devoid of customers and cashiers. Many times I've frequented this store and there has been a few people in the store and one person behind the counter. Their sales are nice, but I've the feeling Rite Aid will soon be obliterated from existance
I absolutely love this store! Well, mostly I love the table of on sale shoes that are outside of the store. You can find great bargains here. Once you get inside, if the shoes are not on sale, be prepared to pay a pretty penny for them (mostly for shoes such as Birkenstocks and Simple shoes which canrun up there...but these are very high quality shoes. Be aware t put enough money in your meter when in this store!
This is a dental facility and also a dental school. Being that is is a dental school be aware that you will more than likely be worked on by students. After I got over that initial fear, the actual dental work was not that bad...as far as dental work goes. They have more of the state-of-the-art equiptment than other places I know of in the area.
I have taken many classes at the University City Arts League and they have all been wonderful. They have a great Hip-Hop Dance class, along with Salsa, guitar, visual arts & photography...among other things. They have a salsa night and also have had many art shows in the past. It is a community center built out of a house and makes you feel right at home when you are there. The prices are very reasonable.
There is something just wonderful about the CEC. I remember attending the CEC dance classes when I was a young girl. The CEC gives several dance classes including Hip Hop Dance and Capoeira. There are many events also that take place here. It is a community building, so I suggest coming in if only to check out the brochures and flyers to see the cultural happennings around Philadelphia. Great place to be.
Community College of Philadelphia is a great school. Set in an easy to locate area near center city, it is chock full of very interesting students from different areas. The Professors are excellent. I majored in Psychology while at CCP and learned a lot. I have several friends who now attend and all have good experiences. Registering for classes and standing in line at the Bonnell building for Financial aid and Academic Issues can be a pain, but the actual academic programs are top notch.
If you take a hard core meat eater to this restaurant, please do nto give the "It tastes just like chicken" speech. The meat substitutions at Singapore are very similar to the tastes of meat, but you have to ust tell die-hard meat eaters that the food is DELICIOUS and that they MUST try it. I love vegetarian food and I love dining at this place. It is beautiful and the food is awesome. Almost anything you can order off your typical Chines Menu can be ordered without meat. It's all very good.
Viet Thai is a superb menu combination of Vietnamese and Thai food. The food is DELICIOUS. The portions are HUGE and there is not one bad item on the menu. The prices are great and the staff are very friendly. This is one of the better restaurants in China Town. On street parking is a pain, but it will be well worth going around and around the block once you dine on this awesome food.
PROS: Superb food! Huge portions!
CONS: Hard to find parking in area.
As a performing artist (And a bargain shopper!) I've been to Ross Stores all over the United States and I cannot say this is one of the better ones. I've never really seen this store greatly organized and sometimes you have to go fishing to find something that is quality and inexpensive. As a Ross Store, it's okay...serves a purpose for the product.
I love this store. The vitamins and supplements can be a bit expensive compared to other placed, but their products are great. Also, the people who work here are WONDERFUL. They are friendly and helpful and make this store a great place to come to for Natural Items.
