so anyone who has any interest in trains or even model building in general can find what they need here. It's fun just to go in to see what they have that's new or on display.
place of ours to wander through this old home. The docents are usually informative and can answer most questions. And, the gift shop is small but stocked with a nice assortment of appropriate toys, books and games. During various holiday seasons, they have special days for gardeners or Christmas decor. Just a peaceful little stop in our day.
of materials! They always have a themed display as you walk in, so you can find current ideas. And, they have tons of other useful books, posters, craft materials, learning games, science materials and math manipulatives. If you can't find something there that you need, you're not looking!
planes to see here! I didn't think I'd enjoy it much (I went mainly to take my son) but it did turn out to be a pleasant outing for me, too. The people were helpful and the giftshop small but well-stocked.
there quite a few times. As my son grows up, he appreciates different parts of the displays. My favorite is the showcase full of eggs we see as we walk down the ramp. The special exhibits are usually worth seeing. And, the Sheep to Shawl demo is interesting, too!
they were having a day where the volunteers dressed in period costumes and taught us how to spin, make bricks with straw and mud, and showed us a wide variety of tools used on farms and ranches of that time -- nice place and nice people!
one of the very nicest libraries I've seen (and I've seen them worldwide). Of course, other libraries might have more books, but Corona has a beautiful facility along with wonderful staff and volunteers. Their book sale is fabulous. It's always a joy to stop at this library!
visiting this museum as it has a good variety of planes on display. Besides that, it has a g-force simulator that is quite similar to the real thing, and only $5 when we were there. The displays were well cared for, and the one of Pearl Harbor especially interesting.
go here once or twice a year, especially if we have a coupon. The prizes in the arcade are pretty weak, and the games break down a lot -- but they do also usually have someone fixing them. The rides are pleasant. Not too big to be overwhelming to little ones, but not too small to discourage older kids. Overall, a nice mix of activities.
maybe once a year. For a while it had gotten really dirty and unkempt, but they did refurbish the miniature golf so it's much more inviting. The prices are a bit high, but if you're careful you can have a nice afternoon here.
