there are barely enough chairs (and I have a bad foot, so sitting is not just a luxury, it's a necessity). But, in the evening or a weekend, it's just impossible to sit and browse without discomfort. Therefore, although we love books, we don't go to Borders any more.
at how good the food was for a fast food-ish place. The manager was wonderful when we had a bit of a problem with the ATM machine. We'd go back any time!
turns everyday spaghetti into a plate of heaven! Of course, the other sauces are good, as is the lasagna. But, the mizithra cheese is what makes this place stand out -- in addition to the decor.
Nice atmosphere, attentive waiters -- we've only had good experiences here. Come to think of it, we haven't been in a while, and should go again for the next family birthday!
but the food didn't live up to the decor. It was OK, but not "interesting." The decor was a great idea (even better, of course, when with the whole thing that used to be next door), but kinda fell flat, too. Neither lived up to my expectations from what I saw from the outside.
The food is good, prices are high. But, unless you happen to get there during a slow time, the noise level is quite annoying. It's sure not a place where you can comfortably talk with your eating companions.
We've eaten there in the past and received good food with excellent service. Last time we ate there, the waitress basically ignored us. Although she made a big production of serving the patron next to us (also a mom with a teenager) a sample of wine, she never even showed me the wine list.
I ordered the portabello mushroom ravioli and was hugely disappointed by the skimpy sized serving. Although we will probably return, we will certainly order something we know to be good rather than trying a new dish.
I've been going there for years and the food, atmosphere and service was fabulous. However, when they moved, the atmosphere dramatically changed from peaceful meals in semi-private to a large open room with crowded tables and lots of noise. The service was poorer as the waitress was busier. Although, the food was just as good, it just didn't seem as nice amidst all the hubbub. I took my out-of-town cousins there for his birthday, and was sorely disappointed in what should have been a lovely meal.
With eggs sometimes as low as $1.50 and milk often only around $3-4 for two gallons, the prices here can't be beat. You have to be an independent shopper because there aren't salespeople, but I like that because I don't like to be nagged. However, there's usually someone to answer questions in electronics. Returns are easy and that makes the shopping experience even more convenient.
