This is a clean and easy place to get into for the best fish in Hays. There is lots of seating for groups of various sizes and tables are easily moved to create more room for larger groups when needed. The people who work there are always cleaning the seating area and the bathrooms as well. If your order isn't ready when you pay they will carry your food to your table when it is.
Ralph's is a clean and easy to shop supermarket in a smaller town. It has a great variety of different foods with an especially good selection of fresh foods and bakery items as well as a deli. You can rent videos there too. There is lots of parking space and the people who work there will pack your bags and carry them to the car for you. It is a quality place to shop!
This store is easy to find being on one of the busiest corners in Hays. It is easy to stop in on the way into town to grab a soft drink or coffee and to use the bathroom and the same way on the way out. They have a good selection of sandwhiches and a great one of different drinks. If you're in a hurry you can pick up some milk and chips and pop. They also have gas for the grill and of course you can fill up your tank. Often when the DIllon's gas center has a special they have the same one. It's brightly lit and a good place to stop!
This is a great place for a quick haircut or a complete style. I have nearly always been able to get in right away or within a few hours. The stylists who work there are very good at their jobs and I've always had good results after being there. It was at this style shop that I had my hair colored for the first time and afterwards I was no longer "scared" of getting colors or trying new things. The shop is at the back of the Penney's store but they do have a separate entrance right next to the shop at the back so it isn't necessary to walk a long way. (Otherwise you have to go through the mall before getting to the store.) The stylists are friendly and helpful and I've been going there for at least 15 years.
This smaller McDonalds store is perfectly located for a quick stop in or out of town if you are heading south. It is clean and brightly lit and also has a shaded playground for children. It was one of the first resteraunts in the area to go non-smoking. I often go through the drive through on the way out of town or if I'm tired and don't want to get out and go into a place to eat.
This is a great supermarket. They have everything from a bakery, pharmacy, florist, and meat counter. I buy a lot of my meat here and most of my groceries. There is a great selection of frozen foods and they have a super fresh produce department. It is easy to get into and out of - they pack your groceries for you and carry them out. In season they have one of the best garden centers around. The plants are fresh and well cared for. The only thing I wish is that they would go back to unloading your cart for you too!
I started going to Dr. Kathryn Black around ten years ago for allergies. I went through two "rounds" of allergy shots after testing and it has made a huge difference in my life. I can actually function! Dr. Black is thorough and stays on top of her patients. I appreciated the fact that once I had gone through the build-up injections that I was able to give them to myself at home until they ended. If I had more problems with allergies I'd go back to her.
I have been going to John Pokorny, MD, for my eye care for a number of years now. I like the way he explains what he is looking for and what he is recommending. I go to him for glasses, contacts, and diabetic eye care. One of the things I like is that he told me that if I'm comfortable taking off my glasses to read there is no reason that I would have to go to bifocals! I think he is excellent and recommend him to others.
This store is conveniently located at the intersection of Highway 4 and 183 at the north edge of LaCrosse. It is easy to get into and out of. The pumps are self-serve; prices are reasonable. The store is brightly lit and clean. I make my pit stop there whenever I go to Hays and also find something to drink. They serve fresh donuts and also have pizza.
I have been going to this pharmacy since it was family owned. In the past few years it has changed hands. There is a wide variety of items available including such items as diabetic socks and shoes, uniforms, books, and vitamins. One half the store specializes in health aids such as crutches, lift chairs, and special items. What is important to me is that they willingly mail out prescriptions and I don't have to make special trips to town. They also deliver in town. The only thing that bothers me is that I feel more of a "number" since the former pharmacist passed away.
