When we moved to Marietta, My insurance company suggested that we come to Dr. Campbell. It was a great recommendation. Dr. Campbell really addressed my issues without suggesting treatment that is completely out of our range and need as some other dentists have done in the past. His hygentists are very gentle and all of the staff are really friendly.
We use this store many times when we are trying to put together Halloween costumes. They have a huge set-up with an upstairs and downstairs. The staff are "interesting" (take that how you want), and the prices are ok, but on many items, you could probably find cheaper. This store is great, however, if you are looking for hard to find novelties or gag gifts. Cartoon characters that you have not seen in years are featured on clothing and other merchanise in addition to their collection of shoes.
I have heard from friends that they will not let you return anything but cannot confirm. They have ample parking in the lot in front of the store.
In sum, if you are in college, are into trendy/junky clothes or need a costume check it out. Be warned - this is not a place to purchase "normal" clothing. Again - I found this place in college and we use it for costumes only!
One of my co-workers recommended this store to me for flowers but when I went in I found so much more. They have the cutest purses and other accessories. If you are looking for a gift - you definately need to check Twelve out - you can get the gift and the flowers in one place.
The prices are pretty good, especially when you consider the merchandise. The location is great (right off of peidmont) but parking can be a problem (Staff clued me in on a back lot). Further, the staff is really great and helpful - if you are stumped, just tell them who the gift is for and how much you want to spend - They will fix you up!! Could not say enough good things!
Unlike the previous poster, the person working the day I went was pretty nice and helpful. we were shopping for some wall decorations for a home office. We found a few paintings and a mirror that we loved (And they delivered them to our house for FREE!)
Though we were only looking for wall decorations, they have tons of furniture, Lights and fixtures, pillow and accessories. They also have a section of ceramics and arts and crafts - It is a hard place to define but a great place to visit - I am sure you will find something you like
Parking in back
The Fickle Manor is located on the outskirts of the Virginia Highlands Neighborhood and carries great treandy clothes and my favorite - trendy PJs and Jewelry. The staff is nice, can help you find most anything, the prices are decent and there is always something new. Make sure to check back in with them frequently - they have GREAT sales (some are end of season sales but others are not really predictable)
If you are looking for something out of the ordinary and contemporary - go to Huff Furniture. They are right off of peachtree rd. and very easy to find.
The staff is relatively nice and the prices are fair for the originality of the product . They specialize in unique shapes and colors in furniture. If you have a corner or wall that needs sprucing up - do it with furniture! They also have a few statues (think modern art) and wall collages but I have been most impressed with the chairs/sofas.
If you want a personalized look, however - they can fix you up with the sculptures, rugs, furniture and advice to create your look
This place is a "baby store" but it has so much. THere are tons of cute things for babyshowers, for an expectant mom and to round out a cute nursery. They carry tons of unique handbags and candles (you know, girly stuff)
This store specializes in paper, however. They have the cutest designs and are happy to give you a sample or two to take home and decide over or you can check all of the samples out on the webpage.
They have printed Thank you notes, invitations and personal stationary for us. They are very professional and super sweet people.
Yoga Samadhi has to be one of the best studios in Atlanta. They have a very spacious set up with hardwood and a "clean" look that makes it very easy to concentrate on yourself rather than your surroundings. They have a few instructors but all are fantastic.
If you just want to try it out - you can pay per class or get a punchcard that is a little cheaper. They also have UNLIMITED classes for about 80 bucks! They have a few different types of classes you can join at any time The beginners class is great- they walk your through everything and you never feel like you should not be there. Classes are pretty much everyday at various intervals (2-4 classes per day)there is something you can make it to! Highly recommend
Cabterbury is easy to get to, and is a really beautiful club for the price. After initial fees, your whole family can enjoy everything about the club for about 3000. The course is great and they hold regular events you can join in - our favorite is couples golf. You can also have them host your tournament if you are doing a school fundraiser or whatnot.
They also have a swimming pool, tennis courts and a grill. Great food for after or before a game
Lightscapes has a great studio and tons of ideas for unique pictures of you and your baby. They photographed our son throughout many stages of his early life. The photographer is good with kids
Lightscapes will also come to your home (or other location) to take pictures. They were able to suggest colors that would look good in a picture in our living room! what a full service photographer. We now have a beautiful portrait above our mantel of the whole family, our dog and all taken in our back yard!
