El Caballo Mexican Restaurant
It is always a surprize to me how wonderful this place is! The prices are right, the food is fresh and the staff is friendly. It has a varied menu, and every thing is great.
PROS: Location, beautiful view.
CONS: Sometimes is very crowded (call ahead)
Jiffy Lube
They are quick thorough and polite. I can count on their advice and they do not over sell. The pricing is right for the area. They are easily accessible
PROS: Excellent service, good reminds on windsheild

Alameda Pet Hospital
If your animal has a special need, I can't speak highly enough about this clinic. The pricing is reasonable. Apointments are easy to get & flexible hours.
PROS: Open Saturday mornings, good parking, always clean
CONS: Once in a great while emergency contacts are slow
Brainwash Laundromat
Unique in the concept of having entainment & food at a laundromat. Good place to meet friends and get the chore done at the same time. Coffee is best!

Coral Reef Inn & Suites
The rooms are suites, located on a lagoon, a block from the bay. This hotel has the best service staff, rooms are clean, well decorated. Priced right!
PROS: The staff will do anything to make your stay the best.

Alameda Journal
This paper only covering sports well, rarely covers the politics ot the town. It does provide an excellent real estate section, if your looking for a home.

Walgreens
Whether a tourist or local, Walgreens has it all. The prices are reasonable, the store is clean & well organized. ATM inside for quick cash. Good staff.
PROS: Location, easily accessible by public trans or walking
CONS: Little or no parking in the area
Petco
We have not only adopted our kittens here, but all the supplies they need are readily available. The prices are reasonable & the staff is knowledgeable.
PROS: Good parking, wide entrence, good value
