Ok I remember when this was a brand new theater and the coolest thing in the area but guess what not anymore. They have let this theater go completely there are broken seats and never enough employees to take tickets and sell popcorn. If your going for a cheap movie try it the movies still play (although they is are small holes in some of the screens). There is a new Theater actually in the mall parking lot if your going to pay full price go there instead.
I love the service selection and everything they offer at Central market. It is a full supermarket but with a gourmet style and selection with a large selection of Asian influenced foods. The deli section is out of this world try the soup they are all out of this world. They make there own sushi fresh hourly and never hold it over until the next day so you know it is fresh. It can tent to be a bit pricy but everything is the highest quality. They seafood department is one of the best in all of Seattle! They have both fresh and frozen and things you wont find anywhere else.
PROS: Great selection go there for the Seafood
CONS: bit pricy but worth the price
This a great local market with the best organic selection that you will find in Seattle., The staff is friendly and helpful. They have free range chicken and many vegetarian and vegan options. Everything in the dell is out of this world I dont think youll be disappointed with any of the items sold there. Go shopping here it is a true Seattle tradition.
I have only gone to the service department and did not buy my Volkswagen there so I cant really comment on the sale department they could be great. But, they messed up on a simple oil change. I asked them to check for an oil leak they didnt find but my car got worse and started loosing oil like crazy after oil changethey made it worse, they did not check washer fluid, so did not notice I was out completely, they did not check to see that I had a head light out, and they did not wash the inside or outside of my car. When I brought this to the attention of the service manager he did a great job making up for it even gave me a free head light. If you go just make sure they do there job but I must say they did make up for it after but not sure I would go again.
PROS: The Service Manager was good at making up for the problems
CONS: bad service
I went to the Parish for only a few months so I need to say that I met some very nice people and many parishioners went out of there way to make me feel comfortable. I have a bit of an issue however with the Pastor. He is very conservative and a bit rigid. If you like a truly traditional Catholic view point you will enjoy this parish. I enjoyed everyone else I met there and mass is very nice, in a beautiful church but I just need something a bit more on the liberal side. There are a lot of families that attend mass there and the community is very strong.
PROS: Parishiners make a point to be friendly
CONS: Pastor is very conservative and not too friendly
This Parish is very family oriented and has atmosphere of being open and caring. It is a mid sized Parish so they do not have a lot of extra programs (like no young adult group) but the groups that are established are full of the most loving, caring and open people. The Pastor is one of the best speakers that you will find anywhere in any church it is worth going to this church just to hear him speak. He tends to be very liberal in his viewpoints but he always delivers his message softly and never offends. There are many families that go to mass here most got to the 10:30 mass but you still see many families going to mass together at the 8:30 of the 5:00 on Saturday night
PROS: Open Friendly Kind
CONS: Not many programs for young single people
I have been to a number of different Catholic churches in the area and this one is definitely one of (if not the most) open and friendly churches, especially if you tend to be more liberal and less conventional. I recommend the 5:30 mass on Sunday evening. It is a contemplative mass and draws a young adult, more single, slightly less family focused crowed. The Deacon and fairly new Pastor are great people and will make you feel welcomed. This is the only place I really felt truly at home as a single person. The other masses are more traditional family oriented (the 9:00 is packed with kids). Really, this Parish has it all and I really think you will find your niche here.
PROS: Open Friendly tends to be more liberal
This is a great local business privately owned and operated (well as far as I can tell). The theater is vintage and classic. The movies are good usually first run but not always. It is always a nice movie going experience though as it really is a small town theater. They have deals on popcorn and soda. They also have a punch car so if you go back again and again the tenth one is free. I dont know how long they have been there but must be since the 50s at least. The new multi-theaters have their place but this place has charm and it is a classic. Check it out you wont be disappointed.
PROS: Charm and a Classic
CONS: Just one movie at a time
This is one of Seattle institutions for dance clubs it is the opposite of pretentious and no matter who you are you will fit right in, as the crowd is always diverse. They are Gay friendly but dont take that to mean solely gay, there is a very mixed crowd many ages, races cultures and sexualities. The bar often has special shows before they open up for dancing they are always alternative entertainment and always a lot of fun. The drinks are just so so but worth the price as it is a good deal for most drinks The Beers are good but really go for the fun, excellent DJs great music and fun dancing. Sunday nights is my personal favorite always a happy crowd and you will feel welcomed.
PROS: Fun Fun Fun Dancing, Open and Welcoming
CONS: Ok the decore could be updated
The food and drinks here are really good. I is in the University district so the crowd is young but it is never too noisy. I recommend the happy hour specials in the bar. The food out in the dinning room is just as good but you will pay a little more for a full meal. The Happy hour appetizers are a great deal and I can see how a starving student could eat well and still have money left over to have some alcohol. I like the Mojitos but they have a good selection of beer too.
PROS: Great Deals
CONS: Its just your typical sports bar
