This restaurant had a nice decor and atmosphere. I don't know a lot about Tex Mex food, but it seems authentice to me. :-) I highly recommend the migas. There are great choices for kids, and the food comes fast. Low fat and vegetarian items are available and clearly marked on the menu.
What can I say - I think I spent the happiest 3 days of my life here. I have never been so impressed with the customer service in any kind of establishment. They go out of their way without making you feel crowded or being fake. You know that they honestly care about you having a nice stay, they aren't just saying things someone told them to say. There is a fabulous pastry chef at this property. The food was very impressive in general, but the desserts are really to die for.
I could spend my whole life and all my money here. There's a wonderful children's section and *huge* remainder section in the basement behind the coffee shop. They are also adding a CD department with very interesting selections, and I always learn something reading the staff reviews posted all around. Wonderful and knowledgeable staff. The only downside is the coffee shop is frequently too crowded to sit down!
We have been going to Max's since we moved to Glover Park 11 years ago. They have a whole wall covered with hundreds of pictures of neighborhood kids and their ice cream. Now that our kids are older, we love going in and looking at the pictures of them and their friends. There is a great variety of flavors that changes all the time, even some non-dairy and non-fat options.
My husband has had a lot of work done with Dr. Hudson. They are great about remining him about appointments. :-) When our insurance changed and they were no longer accepting the new insurance, they even gave us a discount that was similar to our previous coverage. I have recommended her to friends.
I always think of Nordstrom as the prime example of what customer service should be. They obviously put a lot into staff training. I love how when you ask to try on a pair of shoes, they bring the ones you asked for, plus 2 other similar ones. This might seem pushy other places, but Nordstrom manages pull it off in a low key way.
This is not the place for vegetarians. There are only a few veggie options, and the salad bar does not extend far from ice burg lettuce. Even a lot of the selections on the salad bar have meat in them. The decor is nice and the service was OK.
We always enjoy going here for the lunch buffet. There are always vegetarian selections, and a nice variety from one day to the next. It's never crowded, and the food is always fresh. I just have to be careful not to go too often because it's hard not to eat too much. :-)
We shop here a few times a year, usually when each kid's sports season starts. It has a good selection and great prices on most sporting goods. The staff mostly seem to be disengaged twenty-somethings, never had much luck getting assistance or advice. But it is much better than the Sports Authority.
