Body Wrap Shop

This is almost a religious experience. I went in because I wanted to look good for a little party and I'd heard from a friend that this was a great way to loose inches. It works. I was a little nervous at first, the the staff was kind and really made me feel at ease. If you have a wedding or class reunion coming up then GO!

Capers For Kids

Dallas, TX Art Schools 08/14/06: 'Pre School to Musical Theater!'

The only thing that keeps this creative niche school from earning five stars is the cost! If I could afford it, my own son would be there right now. Capers for Kids offers classes in acting, visual arts, and even musical theater. Children are taught everything from texture to improve. It's truly a sight to behold. You can even arrange for an acting camp to be taught at other locations or schools.

PROS: Creative learning for an afterschool program
CONS: $

Kid To Kid

This is a nice place to sell off the clothes your children have outgrown and a great place to buy something you hope they don't outgrow before you've made it through the checkout stand. However, I was not impressed with the boys' clothes the last two times I've been. However, the stock changes often as people drop off something. It's possible I just have had bad luck.

But it's clean, bright, has a nice place for the kiddoes to play while you shop, and the brand names don't cost as much the second time around.

PROS: They have furniture, bedding, toys, and clothing
CONS: Sometimes there isn't a good selection

McDavid David Honda

Frisco, TX Car Dealers - Frisco, TX Used Car Dealers 08/14/06: 'Car buying with FAMILY in mind'

I'm currently in the market for a new car and am shopping around. David McDavid's showroom, staff, and theater room blew me away. I only had to explain once that I was "only looking" and salespeople made sure to let me look. Occassionally someone would ask if I had any questions, but I was left alone to seriously consider my future purchase. I did not have my three year old son on that trip, but it would have been fine if I did. There's a place to watch movies, a place to play, and lots of toys. It's a place I'll go back to and certainly recomend to others.

They have a "theater" room with a large plasma screen and comfortable seating, a regular waiting area with an average size plasma screen, clean restrooms, and a very helpful staff.

Coyle Shannon Dds

Plano, TX Pediatric Dentists 08/14/06: 'Impressive'

My son is only three and already has a phobia of going to the dentist. When I read a review of Kids Dental on Insider Pages, I made an appointment right away. My son saw Dr. Louca, who was aswesome. She amde him feel at ease, even though he isn't usually very good with strangers. My son watched a video wearing headphones while the doctor gave him a check up. When we left B wanted to know when we could come back! Now that's impressive.

Saturn of Mesquite

Mesquite, TX Car Dealers 08/14/06: 'Great deals and friendly staff'

I'm in the market for a new car so I've been all over the place lately. When I went to Saturn of Mesquite I was impressed by how down to earth the salespeople were. I was not pressured at all. Since it's so hot, I stayed mainly in the show room and had my questions answered by professionals that knew exactly what I was talking about (even when I didn't) and even allowed me the time to really look around.

PROS: No pressure!
CONS: No haggling. Cars cost what they're marked.

Anthony Travel

Dallas, TX Travel Agents 08/03/06: 'Specializes in Sports Event Traveling'

Who knew a place like this existed? A friend of mine wanted to see the World Cup in Germany. She contacted Anthony Travel out of the phone book and it turns out that sports related travel is their specialty. She dealt with their international travel agent and had the time of her life. They took care of all flight arrangements, hotel rooms, and arranged tours too. Even though they do specialize in college events, they can take care of you for pro games too. If I ever get tickets to the Super Bowl, I'm calling Anthony.

They are a full service agency. It doesn't have to be a sports trip.

PROS: they know their stuff and keep their clients happy
CONS:

A Massage On Wheels

My principal is very hard to shop for and pretty picky. Since this is her 10th year at the elementary school we wanted to do something nice for her. One of the teacher's recommended A Massage on Wheels. It was the best gift we could have gotten her. The massage therapist was professional, on time, and very friendly. It made us smile to see the principle for teh rest of the day!

PROS: Professional, timely, and comes to where you are
CONS: a little expensive, but worth it

Next Level Sports Group

Next Level is a combination just-for-fun batting cage and profesional baseball camp all at the same time. There are personal trainers to help kids 6-18 with their softball or baseball needs. The kids have to bring lunch and water and it's 10 bucks a day for the day camp. There are even team discounts so everyone could go!

The staff is fun and friendly but keeps the baseball or softball fanatics under control. They also encourage good sportsmanship.

There are two locations. The one in Dallas even offers volleyball camp too.

PROS: Keeps the kids off the couch and video games
CONS:

The Book Tree

Richardson, TX Book Stores 10/12/05: 'Not your average used book store'

This used bookstore is more like going to a friend's house to borrow a book. The prices are extremely reasonable and teh staff seems to know a bit about everything on their shelves. I was impressed to say the least.

They have been in business 12 years, and feature mostly used books in both hard cover and paperback. There is a small cluster of new paperbacks, mostly current bestsellers.

Somewhat like Half-priced Books, The Book Tree offers an in-store trade system where repeat customers can get discounts up to 75 percent off publisher prices.

They do have disabled access.
