The day we went half the rides weren't working. As far as six-flag parks go this one needs some work. Save your money for six flags in texas or spend it at the Audubon zoo or aquarium.
A great way to show out of towners Mardi Gras! It's so much fun without the vulgarity and crowd of the real deal! You can see how floats are really made.
I took some friends to this and they thought it was really cool. I also thought it was pretty interesting. Tour the museum and purchase some neat souveniers!
This is a fun thing to do one time. After that it's a bit dull and silly. Take the kids or out of town guests and it makes it a bit more interesting.
I loved this place when I was a child and now I enjoy taking my own kids. They love the hands on "please DO touch" center. The lectures are really interesting and the kids can learn about and even touch snakes, lizards, turtles, etc.
They are always offering classes for kids on gardening or crafts. They also have easter egg hunts and christmas parties. The house and gardens are beautiful.
they have a great selection of games and toys. You can find toys here that Toys R Us and other big chain stores don't carry. They also have some neat books for kids.
You can find most craft supplies here. The owner is often on the premises and will order something for you if you request it. They have a lot of books too.
This is the place to go when you go to the French marketplace or anywhere on decateur street. They do have good gumbo and entertainment. It's very accessible and there is a pay to park lot right across the street
They are very slow, the wait to be seated can take up to 45 minutes. Parking is a pain and near by businesses will tow if you park in their lots. I have also seen a roach on the floor during lunchtime. The food is good and cheap though.
