If you're looking for elegance and history, this is the hotel for you. Beautiful surroundings located on exclusive Coronado, many stars and political figures have stayed here. Always top notch service and food. A wonderful place to have a wedding or stay for your honeymoon.
Be sure and go to the Del duing the holidays! Every year the Del sets up a magnificent tree that has a different theme each year. It's spectacular and I make sure to visit just for an evening to view it.
There are at least 3 restaurants in the Del and many gift shops to stroll through. The service is always outstanding, even during the holidays. If you're planning on heading to their lavish buffet on Christmas, be sure and call ahead for reservations. It's not exactly inexpensive but it's sure worth it, and the dessert table is magnificent.
A classic tropical or tiki hotel located on beautiful Mission Bay in San Diego. The hotel has been renovated many times over the years but still keeps many of it's tiki touches througout the grounds.
Definitely a hotel to stay at during the summer. You walk out your room door and you're literally on the beach. Many San Diego attractions near by. Don't forget to take the Bahia Belle boat which isn't too far from the hotel.
Can you tell by the stores name that it's all about the tiki? This shop, located in the heart of Long Beach, is full of decor from the 50's and 60's along with tiki mugs, lamps, and vintage clothing.
A small business that you definitely want to visit and buy from to keep them around in the Long Beach area.
If you're into polynesian then this is the place for you to stay or walk the grounds of. Upon arriving you'll be impressed with the architecture of the building itself and each room has a polynesian touch too.
The pool area is magnificent and if you look closely you'll find tikis hidden within the foliage. Also on the hotel grounds you'll find a stage where, during the summer, concerts are given where some big name bands come and play. There is also a very nice restaurant on the grounds too.
Definitely a hotel to stay at if not for a weekend then a special occasion.
This place use to be the luxury hotel to stay in when visiting Palm Springs. The owners transformed the grounds into a tiki oasis with attention to detail. Staying at the hotel was like going back in time with excellent service, lovely pool and luxury towels.
Unfortunately nothing stays the same and the hotel was sold to new owners. The new owners have not kept the same ambiance and have gone cheap. Horrible customer service makes for not having a very enjoyable visit.
This little location would be something you'd just drive by without stopping if you didn't have a clue what a treasure this place really is. Nestled along a busy street, you'd drive right by this place if you weren't looking. The building is old but when you step through the door your eye candy is full of low brow art posters and prints and memorabilia you've forgotten about.
If you don't find what you're looking for, tell the owner and he might just have it in the back room for you. This place is definitely a treasure and a place to visit again and again.
Tell your friends! This place is an oasis if you're a tiki collector or lover. The owners are the nicest people and will assist you with any of your questions or concerns. A place to go and just visit and walk the beautiful surroundings or to buy supplies and decor in bamboo, wood or whatever your choosing for your business or garden get away.
A remarkable business that you must visit at least once, especially if you're into tiki. Once you visit, you'll want to return again and again.
Great little shop up close to Morro Bay. Specializing in nostalgia and retro merchandise, this is a great store to browse through. Check out their exclusive tiki mug too called Speed Tiki made by Tiki Farm.
Hudson Classics has fast delivery service with tracking confirmation right on their website. Their customer service has always been top notch. A definite place to visit when in the area.
Although the owners are a little hard to get ahold of, I've been in contact with them many times. This gallery is relatively new in Palm Springs but is definitely a place to visit when you go. Lots of great low brow artists have been shown here and will be in the future.
Check out their website to see currents shows and buy prints from your favorite artists. They ship quickly and safely your purchased items.
Many a great shows have happened at the "Roq". The owner is quite friendly and returns emails and phone calls immediately. Although I've never purchased anything from them (I've had the chance) the owner Kristen has always been more than helpful. Sends me jpegs and information that I needed.
Check out their website. It's great and has numerous books and prints to choose from along with past shows.
