This is one of our favorites! Go to Dagwoods if you are really hungry because the portions are huge!! I've had the cheeseburger hoagie and turkey club and it's just amazing how much food they give you. The shop itself is very clean and the staff is friendly and hard working. The prices are very reasonable and if there is no parking in front, they have a parking lot on the side. The only problem is you have to go around the block and enter the parking lot from the back. Once you've had Dagwood's food, you won't care if you have to park down the street to get there though! Thumbs up for the little guy! I wish them much luck and success.
For a truck stop, this restaurant has excellent food! I've eaten there countless times and the food is consistantly delicious. Many times I have ordered off the menu but on Saturdays I always get the buffet. They have a prime rib buffet that is fantastic. I have never had such tender prime rib and it's well priced. They also have lots of side dishes and seafood on the buffet as well as a fresh salad bar and soups. It's also a good place to take kids.
I've only ever gone to this restaurant for breakfast and it was always delicious but the service is consistantly terrible. It takes a long time to get a menu and even longer to order. I recommend grabbing a menu from somewhere when you walk in and order as soon as the waitress comes to the table. I will say that they are usually very crowded and may just be understaffed but I would only go there again if I had a lot of time to sit. I also wouldn't recommend taking small children there because it's hard entertaining them at the table for such a long time.
I wasn't very excited to go to Smokey Bones because I thought it was another one of those "chain" restaurants that you shouldn't go when you're hungry, but I was wrong!! The food was fantastic. I had a grilled Chicken Cobb salad that was huge and my husband had steak and ribs that fell off the bone. They have an excellent childrens menu too. That is very big plus with us. The environment is clean and the staff was very friendly. They have more than enough parking also. I think the prices were about average. I didn't think too much of it because the portions were huge and the food was so good. We will be going back there again.
I've been to Elmer Sudds many times and it's one of a kind. Of course it has a Looney Tunes theme and I've never seen a bigger variety of beer in one place. Many of the beers are imported and I'm a bigger fan of domestic but they have that too so it works out. They also have frozen drinks which are a little expensive but for the most part worth it. They have great burgers. My only complaint with Elmer Sudds is the parking. They don't have offstreet parking and every time I've gone there, we've had to drive around looking for a spot.
This is definitely one of my favorite bars. It's easy going and relaxed. Though I don't go out very often, we always try to stop at Sliderz when we do. The staff is great and the food is excellent. I know they have a DJ and live entertainment but I'm usually not there late enough to see any bands. They have darts and pool tables and lots of TVs!! The patrons always seem very friendly too. Great place!
I found employment through Russoli though it was quite a few years ago. I found them to be very helpful. Actually they helped me secure a position that I had sent a resume on my own through a newspaper ad and was waiting to hear from. I remember them calling me quite a few times and I can't think of anything negative. In fact I know I have since recommended them to others.
I've heard good and not so good things about Play Plaza but when I actually took my children there (ages 3 and 1), I was pleasantly surprised. It was cleaner than it looked from the outside and both my children really enjoyed themselves. It has something for everyone and there is lots of parking. I also like the idea that in addition to the inflatables there is also an area with preschool toys for the little ones. I noticed an arcade and also private rooms for birthday parties. I attended a bday party there and they have a real nice setup. I will take my children back there again.
Lahey's is a fun way to spend an afternoon. It's kind of a toned down Chuck E Cheese with a ball pit and soft play. The prices are much better though. I think they have go carts outside as well as mini golf but the day we were there was raining. My kids are 3 and 1 and even though my daughter didn't seem overly thrilled to be there at the time, she's asked to go back many times. They have nice private rooms in the upstairs for bday parties and it's an ideal place for kids to run around and let off some steam.
