Applebee's Neighborhood Grill

The food to pretty good, nothing great but they do have nice size portions. They have nothing on TGIF's. The staff is always friendly here, no problem asking for substitutions or
extras. However, I always seems to have to wait to place my order. I don't think they have a good server per table ratio.

Tony Romas Restaurant

Tony Roma's has great ribs and steaks too.
It is a popular restaurant, so during meal times there could very well be a wait. The onion loaf is very good as well.
The only issue I have with Tony's is that the tables are too close.

Armadillo Willy's Bbq

I love Armadillo Willy's..... My favorite would be the baby back ribs...but everything is good, including the briskit.
I also love the spicy peanut coleslaw. Original for sure.
The staff here is always friendly. One of my favorite places for a casual meal.

Boston Market

The food is so-so. I find that some of the dishes to choose from are not that great looking. Some have been over cooked or just sitting there too long. So, the idea of deciding what I want to purchase, before I see what it looks like doesn't work for me.

PROS: Fast, inexpensive alternative to cooking
CONS: Staff not patient when I am trying to decide my choices, based of viewing.

Fresh Choice

This is a good place for salad and more for a reasonable price. They keep everything really neat and clean. Most all staff is friendly and they clear plates and table pretty quickly.
They also have some very good soups. The choices rotate daily.

Garden City Casino

Garden City has great food and music. It is of course a cardroom, that I have found to be friendly. There are alot of regulars who go there.
But, I go mostly for dinner and music. Very relaxed environment.

Alex's 49er Inn

Well, let me start by saying the bartenders were great.
It was the customers that were a little scary. If you don't like profanity, don't go here. This is a drink-til-you-drop kind of place.
It seems you can bring lizzards in, if that's your thing.

PROS: Good drinks and friendly bartenders
CONS: Lots of profanity

Normandy House Lounge

Nice bar, friendly bartenders. They have a pool table, darts and video games. This bar has a neighborhood feel, but everyone has been very freindly. There are usually some folks from Santa Clara University as well.

Alpine Inn

No dress code here. It's about burgers, beers, peanuts and sun. Great place to relax and catch some rays while enjoying
the great outdoors. If you live in the area, you can just bike there.

What a very hip and classy salon.
Best cut I've had in years. I asked for light streaks, and that's exactly what I got.
And the best part...they serve wine. They have an atmosphere
that I find very relaxing.
