My husband has always used State Farm as his insurance company because of the quality of service he always receives. The State Farm here in Valdosta continues to uphold the excellent standards we have come to love. The agents are friendly, helpful, and they get to work ASAP on your claims.
We are also always informed of anything new that might bring down our insurance rates and if I remember right our again even sent us a Christmas Card last year!
This restaurant was a nice find considering there really isn't much in even semi-fine dining in Valdosta. If you've had fine dining in a large city then you would consider this place semi-fine. It is a very relaxed atmosphere, the owners are friendly and love to talk to everyone, the piano player always knows just what to play, the waitstaff bends over backwards (whether you want them to or not) to make you happy, and there is a nice selection of very good food. Their Greek Salad alone will leave you craving it for months.
I'm not very impressed with the Sears here. Their selection seems very limited and alot of times unless you're in the tool section it's hard to find help.
I still shop there sometimes and have no problems with them. They're just not what I am use to from larger towns. You would think this smaller one would have better customer service and be more organized but they just aren't.
We took a trip to Jacksonville last month for a change of scenery and decided to visit the MoSH there. Our little one is a dinosaur fanatic and it just so happens that they had an animated dinosaur exhibit featured at the time. We spent most of the afternoon in that exhibit alone with the little guy telling us what each dinosaur was, marveling at the fact that they were actually moving, and just enjoying him running around from reptile to reptile.
Our older two children were a little bored but still thought the Planetarium show was semi-interesting (little man loved it of course) and the other exhibits as well. They're just not museum type people I'm thinking. I personally enjoyed the slow pace because I could actually keep up with everyone for once!
The little children's corner where kids can play is cute as well. It has a large water table, "treehouse", train table, and several activities for the smaller kids to play with if parents just want to sit and catch their breat for a minute.
Definately worth the visit especially if you have the ASDI Museum Memberships (where you get in over 200 museums countrywide for free).
PROS: dinosaur exhibit
CONS: a little anal about when they will give you tickets to the planetarium.
I took my children to this place in hopes of finding a good pediatric endocrinologist. When I first set up the appointment I specifically asked the receptionist if Dr. Weber had ever had a patient with my childrens' rare disorder. I was informed he had but it had been awhile. Once we got there things went from bad to worse. It took TWO hours before we ever saw the doctor, he was nothing more than a bumbling fool who went off track so many times I'm surprised he knew his way back, AND my children left feeling like they had been violated!! He examined my children for signs of puberty and did not bother to warn them what he was about to do. Instead he just lifted my daughter's shirt, tweaked her breasts, pulled out the waistband of her pants, and looked down them and then told her brother it was his turn. Might I add that my children are 14 and almost 11 and this was while they were BOTH in the room????? My daughter was practically in tears and was horribly traumatized by this. After all of this I asked him if he had ever had a patient with this disorder to which he informed me he hadn't, stuttered some more, told me he would talk to other doctors, and then we would see what we could do.
I wouldn't recommend this place or at least Dr. Weber to my worst enemy much less let my children near him again!
CONS: no common sense when it comes to children
The new Harvey's is doing really well so far. The employees are friendly and still willing to be helpful, the store is clean, and the prices aren't bad. It's also very convenient not having to drive all the way to Walmart or another store just to pick up a gallon of milk or a missed ingredient for dinner.
I mostly go to Wendy's because they have 99 cent chicken nuggets that my children love. I've also never had any problems with them and that goes a long way with me. They are always friendly, quick, and if they mess up an order they quickly rectify the problem and apologize.
This hospital literally almost KILLED me! The doctor on call the night I went in is/was so stupid that he sent me home in the middle of an adrenal crisis. Had my husband and I not had more sense than the doctor I would have died. I sat in the waiting room for two hours even though they knew I needed medical attention immediately THEN I sat in the room for over an hour before anyone even bothered to come in and check on me. A total of SEVEN hours later is when I saw the doctor- Dr. Q (you will figure out who he is if you live here) who in a very cocky manner informed me that he knew about my medical condition and that I was just fine. As I said, I was NOT fine and the moron almost killed me!
I will NOT be going back there again and by the way, this is the second time with this same doctor at this same ER that I have had problems. I have a rare genetic disorder and a rare cancer that means doctors need to pay attention and do things right. He refused to listen to me or my surgeon.
Yes, I filed a complaint with the hospital and was told that since I didn't die they really weren't going to do anything.
The Winn Dixie here is average at best. Nothing bad about it but nothing that would make me choose it over my usual shopping place of Publix. Their selection of seafood is small and the way the aisles are set up is confusing at times. They DO have a large produce section which is nice but their prices on produce, soda, and at times meats are higher than other places.
I visited this practice for the first time yesterday and I was VERY impressed with their service. Everyone was very friendly from the receptionist, to the aides, to the doctor himself, to the lady that helps you pick our your eyewear. They explain everything step by step, answer your questions, make sure you know what your insurance may or may not cover, and even help with recommendations. Picking out my new eyeglasses was a breeze as well when I left it to the capable hands of the optician.
I plan on having the rest of the family go here and would recommend it to others.
PROS: advanced eye exam equipment, eyeglasses ordered on site
