My husband goes to Mink Chiropractic regularly and they are always very friendly. It is nice knowing my husband is well taken care of and that they care about fixing his back problems. They also have massage therapists for hire by the half hour or hour for very reasonable prices. We bought my husband an hour long session for Father's Day and he said the therapist was friendly, careful, and took their time.

We would definately recommend them to others.

Pirate's Bluff Seafood Rstrnt

We visited this place about a year ago and were so completely disappointed with it. All the food tasted like something you could buy frozen from Walmart and pop in a a skillet yourself. It was rubbery tasting, service was slow, and just all around YUCK.

We won't be giving this one a second chance even if someone else offers to buy.

Publix Super Market

This is the ONLY grocery store in town that has everything you could want in one stop. They have fresh seafood, organic items, fresh vegetables, a wonderful meat selection, AND they have SUSHI!

On top of all that they have shopping carts shaped like little race cars that make my 2yo beg me to shop there meaning it is much easier on me while shopping. The store personnel are very friendly and always willing to help.

Pricewise they are about the same as Walmart and Harvey's so I would much rather shop where I don't have to pick through the bad to get to the "good".

PROS: organic section, great produce, sushi, seafood, friendly employees

Lawrence, Jennifer E, Md - Valdosta Specialty Clinic

Dr. Lawrence is actually the ONLY endocrinologist in Valdosta but she's a very good one as well! In October of last year she diagnosed a rare cancer I never knew I had and also a rare genetic disorder in both myself and my two oldest children. She has worked with me on everything with this disease and has been very open to learning more about it.

Dr. Lawrence truly cares about her patients. She cried with me when my children were diagnosed and is always open to listening to suggestions I have on medications and treatments.

Her nurse is also very courteous and helpful as well.

She is one doctor that I am glad to have on board through this illness.

El Toreo Mexican Restaurant

The waitstaff at El Toreo is friendly and does a really good job of taking care of you. The food is VERY good and prices are good for the area and quality. Drink specials are offered and the Strawberry Margarita is yummy!

We've been there a few times and the only complaint I can think of is that the second time the place was really cold but that isn't something that's going to affect whether or not we like the food.

I definately recommend it as one of the FEW decent places to eat in Valdosta!!

Rodeo Mexican Restaurant

The food is honestly pretty decent and they have daily lunch specials at a good price. The waitstaff is friendly and do a good job of keeping your drinks filled. The guacamole is good and management is handy if you have a problem.

Even if you go in for dinner the prices are still good and they run drink specials for those who like a little after work margarita.

Book Rack

This is a quaint little used book store with a pretty good selection of books. The owners are very helpful and friendly and there are plenty of books for your little ones to look through while you look for something for yourself.

They take books in trade for store credit towards more books so it's the perfect place for a book addict who may not have the room at home or the money to keep buying more books.

Salon Park Avenue

My mother in law and husband sent me here for a Christmas present and it was so wonderful. I had the Elemental Facial which was very relaxing and left my face feeling fantastic! Then I was given a Parrafin Manicure. I'm not big on manicures but I would definately recommend this.

Afterwards I had my eyebrows shaped and a haircut by the stylist Jan and I was VERY happy with the job she did. I was even able to come back the next day at no charge to get a little more hair cut off for free.

Everyone is very nice and their service is top notch.

Marco Polo

This is a buffet and it is honestly the most horrible place I think I have EVER eaten at! We ate there when we first moved to Valdosta over two years ago and it was so disgusting we vowed never to go back.

Well after almost two years we thought we would give it another chance and it was even more horrible than the first time! I don't see how people can eat there!

The hostess/cashier is VERY rude, the food is crummy, the waitstaff is lousy, the price is outrageous, and the tables are dirty.

Great Wall Restaurant

This is the only place in town we will order take out from. They mess up the order at times but the food is VERY good plus they deliver. The sesame chicken is definately worth a try. Costwise they are about average.

PROS: Fast delivery, friendly, great food
CONS: Forget something with almost every order. Luckily small things.
