Reflections in Glass makes amazing, beautiful custom glasswork. They can do everything from etched glass, beveled mirrors or glass, stained glass. They can make glass for your custom cabinetry, or just for an individual piece. The staff is friendly and personable. Prices are average for this quality of work.
Best in town for custom cabinets. They do it all, kitchens, bathrooms, remodels, stand alone units like entertainment centers and desks. Simply gorgeous work, the quality and workmanship can't be beat.
Waterworld is a lot of fun, but expensive. Last time I went admission was almost $20 a person, plus parking, raft/tube rentals if you want them, locker rental, food ...it gets expensive! There's nothing quite like breaker beach though, or going down those huge slides. Bring the sunblock and have fun!
Paradise Island is great for miniature golf and go carts. Their prices are good but you have to pay for parking, and they open later than Golfland Sunsplash. It can get crowded on the weekends. All in all it's a really fun place with lots to do.
This is our favorite place for minature golf. The prices are reasonable and the courses are fun. The staff is friendly and doesn't blink an eye when we have to go in 10 times because our 5 year old knocks all of her balls into the ponds! They also have an arcade with a good selection of games. Fun for the whole family!
I have fond memories of going to Scandia as a preteen and teen, and I love taking my kids there too. For family things, I think it's better to go during the day if possible. It can get crowded at night. The games are fun and they have games for kids of most ages. The food is gross and overpriced, but we go for the games!
Crossroads has such a huge selection of clothing. It's all very good quality and their prices are fair. They will buy clothing from you, but their guidlines are very strict. Which is good, it keeps the junk to a minimum. Expect to pay more than the typical thrift store, but the quality of the items is so much better.
We rented "50's" style clothing here for my Grandfather's 50th birthday party. They had a large selection and the prices were fair. The quality of the clothing was good, and the staff was very helpful. They had a large range of costumes and theme wear.
I was not impressed with the standard of care I received here. My request for a female dentist was not honored. The work seems substandard. My concerns about things were brushed off.
The wait was almost always long. The employees at the front desk are rude, as is the manager. I was made to wait for almost an hour while she had a *loud* argument on the phone with her mother.
I ended up not getting the last item (a wisdom tooth extraction) done there and closed off my account. I had paid in full so they owed me money, and it took months and many visits and phone calls to finally receive it.
PROS: They'll give anyone credit if you can come up with 30% down
CONS: Poor quality of work, rude staff, long waits
I recently had to have surgery, it was semi emergency and I don't have insurance. UCD not only treated me, but they have been very helpful in assisting me in finding resources to help pay for the huge bills I accumlated while I was there.
All of my nurses were wonderful, and while the doctors could have made more rounds than they did, they were always helpul and answered my questions when they did.
