The Margate Swap shop is a very small place - but they have GREAT stuff!!
They allow garage saling two mornings of the week which is a lot of fun...and they have an incredible farmer's market full of wonderful exotic produce.
Because of its limited size it is a great thing to do on a hot day - because by the time you start to feel hot and uncomfortable, you have been through the entire Swap Shop.
PROS: small in size - great produce
She's The One is the place to go if you are looking for that perfect dress for a special occasion and don't want to be treated poorly just because you are middle class. Unlike many of our local boutiques in this area, at She's The One they treat you like someone special no matter who you are or what kind of handbag you are carrying. That's why when I need a new dress for s pecial occasion, this is where I look first.
PROS: beautiful attire - great salespeople - no snobbery
I was not very impressed with this Museum after having visited several other Museums of Science around the nation.
This was was very small and it was hard to find employees who spoke English - most were Spanish speaking with very broken English and this made it difficult for us to find our way around or ask questions.
Many of the interactive exhibits were messy and broken - the museum really needs more upkeep.
I am glad we didn;t pay too much to ge tin here - it was not worth it.
PROS: none really
CONS: messy - few English speaking staff
I went into the Scrapbook Den as someone who wasnted to starte scrapbooking. I had no clue where to begin but knew I wanted to get started.
I aasked for some assistance but they really couldn;t be bothered showing me around and helping me get started setting up my scrapbooking project.
All they were concerned about was getting me to sign up for one of their classes - and unless I wanted to commit to classes, then they didn't have the time for me.
I found that to be very off-putting.
PROS: lots of products
CONS: not willing to help you learn
For adult videos, novelties and attire, this is a very classy place to shop. They make no bones about the fact that they cater to adults only (their signage is enormous), but at the same time they don't do it in a trashy way.
They are not discreet (see the signs) but they are hnot trashy.
You can walk in here and buy some fun stuff for the bedroom and never feel ashamed walking out - and that is a nice thing.
Their selection is quite expansive - in movies clothing and toys. It is adult one stop shopping at its finest.
Grifs Western is theonly place of its kind that you will find here in the Coconut Creek area. That makes it quite a gem in and of itself!
They sell authentic cowboy duds...western shirts, belts with big buckles and real cowboy boots.
A couple of times a year they bring a bunch of racks out front into the parking lot under a tent, music blaring and hot dog vendors giving away hot dogs and sodas...and they have one heck of a tent sale.
If you are heading out for a night of two steppin' and line dancin' - stop n at Grifs and get yourself suited up properly. The staff there will treat you with some true southern hospitality!
PROS: great location
The Florida Swap Shop and Circus of Fort Lauderdale is just enormous.
They have acres and acres of outdoor vendors - true flea market style where you can haggle for prices and buy just about anything. Indoor they have more booths - less used items than outside and more knock-offs of brand name clothes and accessories.
They have all sorts of ethnic foods in their food court area and a circus and drive in movie theather that can be alot of fun for families.
The Swap Shop is a fun thing to do for a day - and you will not break the bank doing it!
PROS: very eclectic - something for everyone
CONS: sleazy crowd
Nobody WANTS to have to go in and deal with getting new tags or registration stickers or all theother garbage that goes along with driving in South Florida. It is a chore - no matter what.,
All Broward Title and Tags makes that chore a little less painful. They got us in and out - easy. No lines, no creepy people...just in and out. Gotta love that!!
They were polite and courteous - efficient and easy to deal with!!
PROS: fast - ina nd out
As members of our local Museum of Discovery and Science, we can get general admission into the museum of Science and Industry for free. nice!
When you walk in the place looks large but kind of "eh" - the you walk way in and WOWZA!!! The exhibits are just amazing - spectacular - phenoenal!
The BodyWorlds exhibit was the most fascinating lesson in anatomy...just amazing - no words can dexcribe it.
There was also an exhibit on an old WWII submarine - REALLY cool...especially for history buffs.
We were able to see baby chicks hatching...and we only spent half a day there - imagine if we had had more time?!
This is definitely a museum to visit again and again!!
PROS: left us speechless
CONS: the layout is a bit confusing
I relied on Good Friends Pools for several years - they built and maintained my swimming pool. They built it exactly as detailed in our plans...and always maintained it on time and properly. In the four years we lived there, our pool was never out of service. When we decided to add a heater, they took care of that for us quickly and efficiently.
They have friendly and neat/clean workers who can be trusted to be on your property when you are home alone with children.
I was very happy with Good Friends Pools and if I ever own a home with a pool again, I will definitely be calling upon Good Friends!
PROS: reliable and nice
