Capt. Gus's has been a Lancaster landmark forever. Good solid cheese steaks, big sodas. Fun, kitchy decor and vinyl seats. Great place to get fast food with out resorting to the golden arches. You can smoke in there too!
It only took me 4 years in Lancaster to find Mandros, so thank me now. Imported cheeses the likes of which Lancaster has never seen before. Great prices on Romano! Imported food from all over the world. Caramel from Argentina! Oh my GAHD! too die for.
This store is tiny, itty bitty miniscule. cramped and badly organized. I love this store for that. Take your big box stores. Give me a tiny store with good prices, great finds and a knowledgable clerk any day. Oh yeah, and the caramel.
PROS: small, local, reasonable
Used to be the only place in town that we got pizza from. Then the pizza got a little saucey. Than the delivery guys started taking longer and longer. Than they started to forget parts of our order, like the soda or the extra garlic dipping sauce. Then they gave us a hard time when we called to complain. Then we called Metro Pizza.
Not the bestest pizza ever, but GOOD pizza and at a good price. The delivery guys are fast and polite, the deals can not be beat. Especially the 2 cheese pizza deal.
How could have not yet visited That Fish Place? The tore is huge! Fish, birds, reptiles and a Humane League Satelite location to adopt a dog or kitten.
Rows and rows of fresh and salt water fish with the tanks well marked. Live plants for your tanks as well, a whole room of them.
There is a giant section for outside fish ponds as well. Check out the coy tanks, they are so cool!
There is also a salt water touch tank with fish and horseshoe crabs and starfish.
Rows and rows of pet supplies and food too.
It is like a trip to the zoo with cash registers!
It is worth the drive out to Donegal Animal Hospital for all your veterinary needs. The doctors are kind, caring and compassionate. The staff is loving and helpful. You can not beat the price either, less expensive than may of the other vets that are "in town".
Who knew that a Waldenbooks could be so large? The staff is helpful and friendly. The selection is great and they have killer sales. They can order just about anything that you want or need. Located at Park City Mall in the Sears wing, Walden Books is easy to find and get in and out of.
