Garden Ridge is especially great during the holidays, Christmas, Halloween, Easter, for buying decorations. They always have a great selection for great prices. They also have a great selection of baskets, dishes, items for kitchens and bathrooms. Expect to spend a few hours looking around for good deals. Also great for arts and crafts items and silk flowers.
This mall is different from others that part of it is inside and part is outside. It's great on a beautiful day but not so great in the rain. Has some nice stores like Belk, Hechts and Nordstroms, Pottery Barn. Also has a nice movie theater. But it doesn't have a parking deck or any type of covered parking so my kids and I get wet in the rain. They do have a great play area for the kids by the food court.
PROS: Kids play area, nice stores, a family bathroom with couches for nursing
CONS: no covered parking
This store has linens, sheets and towels. Good prices but also cheap quality. Their merchandise doesn't seem like it would last long. I've window shopped there but never purchsed. Just not the kind of quality that I'm looking for. I think you can find better deals with sales at major department stores.
Great small town hardware store. They have a nice selection of items to buy and rent. They also occasionally have items that are free after rebate, especially during holiday weekend sales. And they are very good at sending the rebates out quickly. Good for when you need a few things to complete a project and don't want to go all the way to Lowes.
Carter's makes very cute clothes. Although sometimes you can get better deals at Kohls or other stores when the clothes are on clearance. But Carter's seems like it is always running promotions and has 20%off one item coupons to print. This makes the clothes more reasonable. I love their pajamas for my 2 year old.
This was a more expensive children's wear clothing store. It was very convienent right on the highway and had some very cute clothing if you wanted to spend the money. However sometime last year they went out of business and the building is now empty. I'm sure they are missed by some but we could always find better deals elsewhere.
This is where I get prescriptions filled and buy over the counter meds. I like the CVS brand cold medicines too, no difference from the name brands except they are cheaper. This particular CVS in Mebane has a very helpful staff and manager. They are also very coupon friendly and congratulate me when I find a good deal instead of complaining. I use the ExtraCare Card and earn ExtraCare bucks each week with my purchases.
This is a small town mall, has a Belk, Sears and JC Penney but the stores are not that big. Often I find that they don't have what I'm looking for. I'm better off going to a bigger mall or shopping online. This mall is ok if you are just wanting to do some small town shopping.
Fun store, has a great selection of educational toys. Some really different things that normal toy stores don't carry. Our mom's club had a class there for small kids which was very fun and only $3 per child. It was an hour and they did several different dinosaur crafts and games and had storytime. The kids really enjoyed it and the staff was great!
I've found that Motherhood Maternity stores have a fairly good selection of maternity clothes but if they go in the dryer the clothes shrink. I've had good luck with them if I just take the clothes out of the washer and hang them on the rack to dry. They just need to be shaped and left to air dry. I've had good luck with their nursing shirts and nursing bras this way too.
