This hospital has saved my life more than once. First with brain surgery for an aneurysm and now for heart problems. This hospital gives excellent care even though it is a county hospital. People come from all over the country for cardiac care here and I can see why. The doctors are always backed up by other doctors and a stream of interns so your diagnosis has never been determined by one doctor, but several. This hospital truly cares about your pain and comfort. I would not go anywhere else.
PROS: Excellent health care
CONS: Food could be better
This restaurant sits on Hwy 146 and can be seen by its huge man made colored palm trees which have been erected outside. The inside is cool and has nice seating, including booths. The staff is efficient and the Mexican food is excellent. La Brisa is a relatively new busines here which seems to be thriving well. Stop by for a tasty margarita if you are down this way.
PROS: Clean, efficient, good food
CONS: Service is a little slow
This title company was very professional and caring. They took care of the closing of our house a few years ago. They have the friendliest, most efficient staff who really care about their clients. They took care of our business efficiently and in a timely manner. Highly recommended.
PROS: Efficient, timely
This apartment complex is noted for its crime and drug abuse. I wouldn't recommend renting here. It is just of the freeway, noisy and the apartments are rarely maintained. Please pass on this one.
CONS: Bad place
This book store invites you to browse through their used books and sip on a cappucino or a caffe latte. It is an old small building with lots of character. The staff are warm and inviting. A medium sized selection of books are here for very good prices. You can also swap n shop.
PROS: Friendly atmosphere
CONS: Old and musty
This is the most popular fishing pier in San Leon. This is where they hold the kid's fishing contest every year. There is a small entry fee but no one seems to mind paying it. Young kids are often here taken lessons from their fathers. In fact, my daughter learned to fish here. There is a shop which sells sodas and snacks and a small parking lot.
PROS: Great atmosphere
CONS: Limited parking
This is the longest, largest fishing pier in this area but there is an entry fee (around $5). There is also a small diner and bait shop at the entance. It is a lighted pier and seems to do more business on the weekends and at night. It is never full so you can always bank on a place to fish here
CONS: Entry fee
I have only been here once. I had a flat and went by to buy a used tire. They produced a very good one for $20 which lasted quite a while. I don't like their selection of new tires, it is limited. There service is quick and silent. No problems here.
PROS: Not a rip-off
CONS: Not a good selection of new tires
I take my dog here. The staff love animals and always take care of my dog with a gentle hand. I am never left waiting for my appointments. They take us in as soon as we walk in the door. They give a very efficient service and have reasonable prices. Highly recommended.
PROS: Caring, efficient staff
CONS: There is a wait at lunch time
This is a small bank I have been a member of for over ten years. The staff here are very courteous and efficient. They tend to take a personal interest in you and some remember my name. I have never had a problem with my accounts here as I have at other banks. I think their main goal is customer satisfaction and that counts for a lot.
PROS: Efficient, friendly service
