The sushi here is absolutely fabulous at the Sushi House. One of the only places where you can get toppings on your custom made sushi. They offer great lunch specials that are fairly inexpensive. Nice quiet atmosphere at night for a romantic dinner. If you are not sure what you would like to try than just ask your waiter or waitress and they will be glad to help you. The service here is great and so is the food. I know many people that go here at least once a week because they like it so well.
Emerils is an out of this world experience. I will just say that yes the prices are high, but the food is well worth it and the service is extraordinary. If you love Cajun/Creole style food then this is the place to get it. I love how you can watch the chefs prepare your food. One of the most interesting restaurants I have ever been to. I can not wait to go back and try some of the other amazing items on the menu. Don't forget dessert because your missing out if you do. It is to die for!
Mennello Museum of American Folk Art has many traveling folk art exhibits to check out. This museum features the work of Earl Cunningham who was a well known folk artist. All of his work can be found here in the museum and many people come just to see it. If you are interested in folk art this museum has some very interesting exhibits and a sculpture garden around the lake that has a breath taking view. Another type of art to view if you liked the museum of art then you will like this folk art museum.
Orlando Museum of Art has been around for quite some time. They have several rotating exhibits and about 10 other exhibits to see throughout the museum. Large collections of American, ancient American, and African art are among the Orlando Museum of Arts walls. Another plus about this museum is that the well known Newsweek magazine calls it one of the best art museums in the South. It really is worth the time to check out if your into art and different cultures. Museum is closed mondays, but open tuesday thru sunday.
Fun Spot Action Park is a combination of an amusement park, go-kart track, and arcade. These rides are for everyone. They have a special section of things for children under 7 and then the other areas are for over 7 to adults. Admission is free, but you do have to pay for each ride and each game you play. The best deal is an armband where you pay $30 for adult 10-ride band and $12.50 for a child's all day band. A snack bar is offered is you get hungry or you can bring your own lunch with you.
Have you ever seen a two-headed kitten or a five-legged cow? This is the place to find the bizzare and strange things. The outside of the museum will tell you that your in for a treat. Walk through and see life size replica's of the world's strangest animals and people. As you go through this museum you may ask yourself why you really paid as much as you did for this and others may ask when can I come back. It's up to you if you believe this mess or if you aren't to impressed.
The science center is packed full of fun and educational items for the kids to do. The adults will even enjoy it! This is a great place for families to come spend some time together. An affordable alternative to the theme parks. Explore the human body, technology, and even soar through the solar system. If you live in the area the package is well worth the money, you can enjoy the center yearround with free parking and free access to the movies plus free admission. Home of the eight story cinedome which is the world's largest movie theater around.
There are a lot of mixed reviews on this attraction. When the rides and items work it is a great place to bring the children. This is really for the younger children though. They have games, and a roller coaster simulator if you don't get motion sick easily. The magic and dinner show are worth the money, its amazing how they do all thr tricks and you will walk out asking how did they do that? It can get expensive so make sure to limit yourself or bring extra cash. I would rather go to the amusement parks personally for the cost of this place.
Skull Kingdom is another fun experience away from all the Dinsey themed parks in the area. You can take a tour or have dinner or choose to do both. This is a two story castle full of thrills and chills. Kids beware because they know how to frighten the life out of you. Adults too! This was better than a haunted house times 10. They don't let children under 8 come in because of the scariness, even being adult I was scared so just keep that in mind. This isn't a place for the weak hearted.
They have added a little fun to putt putt golf here at Pirates Cove. This is a nonexpensive way to have fun after you have spent all your money at the amusement parks. Take time to relax and enjoy all the pirate themed courses they have to offer here. Walk the plank with hook or set a sail on a ship. The kids will love this pirate adventure and if they love to play miniture golf then they will really have a great time. After you finish your games don't forget to stop by the snack shop or the gift shop where you will find treats and treasures to take home with you.
