Interlochen Quick Lube
The Quick Lube here in Interlochen is very reliable and they get your car in and out in as little time as possible. They also send out Coupons for $5.00 off your next Oil Change. All your Fluids are checked and you are notified if one is low or needs to be changed. The owner is very nice and an Honest Man.
There is good parking, it is quite clean and the restrooms are clean. They get my car every 3,000 miles to change the oil!
I recommend them to everyone I know.
Grand Traverse Athletic Club
They have a good variety of Equipment to work out on. The Arobic classes are the best. The Instructors make them fun and push you to the limit! If you get a chance to go to a "Boot Camp Class", go it is awsome. I know most of the Instructors and they are a bunch of great Gals and Guys.
Olesons Food Stores
I can always rely on Olesons for a marvelous cake for any type of party. Last years I had my Grandsons Graduation Cake made there with his Picture on it. It was so real looking and was very reasonablely prices. I have to go there tomorrow and order another one for my second Grandsons Graduation Party. I would recommend them for any cake or dessert to please a crowd.
Salvation Army Thrift Store
I have always found pretty good deals on used clothing at the Salvation Army . They usually have a good supply of used Puzzles that I purchase for those long winter nights. Although most of the furniture they get in is not that good, it is useable.
If your looking for Vintage clothing, it can probably be found at a Salvation Army Thrift Store.
Ben Franklin
I have always found a good supply of the Crochet Pattern Books for the Dolls I make. There is about a dozen different styles of Dolls that I purchase for Exchange Groups. They have a full wall of Yarn in every color and style imaginable.
When I get ready to Crochet a pattern, I can always count on Ben Franklin to have the yarn, doll, beads and lace needed to complete the project. It is in a good location close to downtown, yet still on the outskirts so you don't have to fight the traffic or look for a parking spot. I would recommend it to anyone looking for any kind of Craft Supplies.
Goodwill
The New Goodwill is a huge Building. They have a lot of employees, mega clothing, an abundant amount of Household merchandise, and tons of shoes!
They supply Community Services, Housing for the needy, jobs, and such a vast variety of needs for everyone.
If your looking for a place to live, job, help in general, or good deals on clothes, Goodwill is the place to go!
St Vincent De Paul
St. Vincent DePaul has been around for many years and has always had something the public needs. Clothing, Furniture, Dishes, Jewelry, they even give away Day Old Baked Goods.
I have bought Beds, clothing, shoes and even some Antique Dolls there. They sell quite a bit of Vintage items too.
It is a wonderful Organization that helps people.
EBB TIDE RESALE SHOP
I have went to EBB TIDE for a variety of different things, Clothes, Shoes, Avon, Jewlery and Formal Ware. It is quite cramped in the store, but neat and clean. They also sell some Vintage Clothing.
Act Ii Consignment Shop
I have bought quite a few dress clothes from there and I have also consigned a few dresses. I sold some clothes, but not a lot. Their prices are a little high, but that is because of the consignment. People have their own asking price, plus the percentage of the consignment shop on top of that. But it really isn't as bad as some places.
They have a great variety of Formal ware and Office ware, also some everyday ware.
If your looking for some Vintage clothes, I would recommend this shop.
So Many Books So Little Time
I used to have the Store right across from Gloria's Book Store and she was the most wonderful person. Always in good humor and a very sweet lady. She would let me go get a book to borrow and read while business was slow. We traded many books, I donated many books and bought quite a few as well.
She has a wonderful variety of Mystery, Love Stories, Who Done It's, and Childrens Books. She also carries a lot of the Harliquin Books for those who read them.
