Heyl's has been around for years and is a nice established florist. Their flowers are fresh and beautiful. They are reasonable with their pricing and make nice arrangements. I have picked up bouquets for dance recitals from Heyls and they are realy beautiful and not too pricey. The building is sort of old and outdated but it's right on Perry Highway and it is convenient.
My kids used to see Dr McKee and he was a nice dentist. He was patient and personable and great with kids. The kids get a token after their exam to put into a machine and get a prize. That's a big hit with the kids! Unfortunately he stopped accepting our insurance and we had to find a new dentist. It was heartbreaking. His office staff is professional but not warm and friendly like some places.
We had to take our daughter to uptown pediatrics once and I wasn't very impressed with them. We waited for a long time to see the doctor and the office staff wasn't very friendly. Overall, I found the office to be dirty looking with stained carpets. The doctor himself was nice and good with our child. He seemed to be knowledgeable and treated her problem. However, the office itself and staff left alot to be desired.
After going to two other pediatric dentists and being disappointed, we tried Dentistry For Kids and think they are awesome. They are patient and take the time to explain everything to the children and parents. My child is on a special diet and they take special care in ordering her special tooth paste. I have always been allowed to go back with my children which I really like. The dentist is knowledgeable and kind. I recommend this dentist to anyone with young children!
I was shocked when I visited this pet store the other day! It is filthy dirty and the aquariums are gross. They have algae growing inside them. They also have huge parrots and other big birds in very small cages. I don't know how this store stays in business as the animals appear to be unhealthy and the place is disgusting. I will never buy anything there!
CONS: Just disgusting!
Perrytown is a little restaurant/bar right on Perry Hwy. The food is excellent, especially their fish sandwiches. There are often coupons in the Clipper magazine for lunch. This makes it a great deal. The service is excellent and the prices are affordable. The only problem area is the parking as you have to park on the street.
A group of us had our hair done at Attitudes for a special event. The stylists were friendly and did a great job. The salon is clean. They even have little girls birthday parties there! The only down side is it really depends who does your hair because one of the stylists can be pretty expensive. Ask the cost before you get anything done. Our stylist was fantastic, though.
I enjoy going to Shootz on "Girls Night Out" The food is good and pretty reasonable priced. The bartenders are quick, efficient and socialable. There are plenty of tables to dine at and pool tables to shoot a game. Many memories have been made at this cafe' and we always have a good time there.
I love eating at The House of Lee. The food is delicious and the service is exceptional. My favorite are their shrimp dinners. Delicious! The kids meals are served in a little boat dish which my kids love. The kids meals are mostly batter dipped choices, though, which doesn't give a great variety but my kids don't complain. They also love the huge aquarium in the restaurant.
Pietros Pizza on West Iggomar Road has good pizza. The employees are friendly and the place is clean. It's convenient that they sell pizza by the slice so you can grab a quick slice to go. There prices are average compared to other pizza places in the area. It's a great stop for a quick hot slice of pizza.
