This is a great place to take a date before a movie at the mall cinema. The ambiance is intimate and cozy, the lighting is low, and the staff is great- they take care of your needs, without bothering you too much. They have a really neat saltwater fish tank, too. The food is awesome, I wish I had the recipes!
This is a buffet restaurant; they have a huge variety of foods they offer, including seafood. Definitely come hungry! I have had better food, but it really is not bad. Definitely a family atmosphere, every time we have gone it is noisy, and there were lots of kids. It is very clean, and the food appears to be replenished quickly when a tray runs low. Some of the items have a limit on haw many each person can have, but I am not really sure how they enforce that.
This is a newer little ice cream shop here in Lakeside. We have visited a couple times, and the service is always very good. It does not have 31 flavors, but you will find one to tempt you. It is cheaper than Cold stone, and is more old fashioned, and you can sit and enjoy your ice cream and not spend a fortune. It's a great place to take the kids!
I have noticed a new trend in thrift stores- they are cleaning themselves up! That is too bad for those of us that are looking for a bargain and love the thrill of the hunt. Thisstore used to be one that you could easily spend an hour or more going through stuff and come out with several great buys. They have reorganised and now sell "higher class" stuff at a higher price. I probably won't be back
Henry's Marketplace carries a nice selection of specialty canned and fresh goods, wines, and antibiotic and hormone free meats. Some of the items are more expensive than what you would buy in a typical chain grocery store, but you get what you pay for! I like that I can buy cheeses in bulk that are fresh, especially hard cheeses, and cream cheese. You can also pick up a loaf of specialty bread that is freshly baked.
This place is geared towards contractors who can just come in and rattle off the names of what they need, and buy in large quantity. We went there looking for a specialty part, didn't really know what we were looking for (at least didn't know what it was called), and they were really nice about helping us. It took some time, as they were busy, and we had to wait for them to serve the contractors that were there first. They were friendly and very knowledgeable, and didn't try to sell us more than we needed.
While this is not really my kind of store, (I prefer the craft shop myself) My husband enjoys it. They have a good selection and the owners are knowledgeable and helpful. Dont climb all the way to the top of the stairs to see if they are open, however, if the American Flag is not our, they are closed.
Well, the admission is free, not the art! This museum looks tiny from the outside, but once you get in, they have a lot of great art work to enjoy. It is a great place to pass the time while waiting for your time slot for the fine art museum. There was no wait to get in.
Take your time going through this one! There is so much to see you will miss something if you go too fast. We didn't get there till nearer to closingtime, so we missed a lot, but the main floor was really interesting. We loved the reprodution of antient Egypt. My husband especially loved the displays of weapons from different places. My daughter enjoyed the kids area, where she got to dress up like she was from ancient Egypt, and play in a make believe marketplace from that time.
My family goes to this little Chinese buffet restaurant. It doesnt have a huge long buffet bar like some you see, but then we go to buffets for the variety, not to heap our plates full and stuff ourselves. There are plenty of things to choose from, and the atmosphere is family friendly. You clear your own table at this one, which I really dont mind, either.
