We checked out this RV park while trying to find a place. I liked that this park is not as near to the freeway as some other ones in the area. The spaces are tight, though, but I guess that goes with the territory! The bathrooms and showers are clean, as was the clubhouse. The staff in the front office was friendly, and very helpful. They can also get you special discount on local attractions if you ask them to.
At first glance, this looks like a hole in the wall! I had a hard time finding it the first time! Once you walk in the door, though, you are in for a very pleasant surprise- beads, beads, and more beads! They are very well arranged and fairly easy to find what you are looking for. They are grouped by color around the outside wall, and the center section has the specialty items, and wire, thread, findings, and some other things. They also offer classes, although I have not taken any there. They have some of their own patterns that you can buy- about 99 cents each, and the instructions are fairly straightforward if you know beading at all. They have a good selection of charms, and look on the rack by the door for their sale basket and other sale items.
My daughter went to her friends birthday party here, and absolutely loved it! Her friend's mom had gone earlier and picked out what they were going to paint, so when they got there, it was ready to go, and it could stay in her budget. About a week after the party, we got the piece my daughter had painted. It still sits up on my daughter's shelf, and she still talks about that party!
I love to go to Michaels and wander around letting my crafting bug take control! There is so much to look at, I always find inspiration. I can always count on finding a "new to me" craft to try out. I love their "mini dollar store" It is a great place to find stocking sstuffers or to put ttogether a goody bag for birthday parties. They have a large selection of yarn, a lot of artificial flowers, and they can custom make arrangements for you. If you don't need one custom made, check the shelves in the front, and you can usually find an inexpensive arrangement that was made by a student of one of their classes. Don't forget to bring your 40% off one item coupon, out of the paper. I was dissappointed in their selection of watercolor supplies.
We bought our Explorer her a couple years ago, and we got a decent deal (although if we had shopped around more we probably could have done better)
Their service department is as confusing as it is confused- they seem to have no communication skills, not only with the customers but with each other. I took our car in for its first oil change and tire rotation, I had coupons for both from the dealership that we got when we bought the car. We told them we had the coupons, and showed them to them, they just said ok, and wrote up the work order. It took them about 3 hours before they were done- they wouldn't even shuttle us to a local store so we would have something to so while we waited. Then after the work was done, they tried to charge us for all the work, and when we gave them the coupons, they said they can take one or the other, not both. It did not say this on the coupons, and I had told them in advance I was going to use them.
Mossy Ford Collision Center really worked hard to find the part needed to repair our car. It is hard to find parts and panels for it, and it ended up taking a couple days longer than they expected, but they always communicated with us to let us know what they had done to find the part, and how much longer they thought it would be. They didnt charge us any extra charges, even though they had to get the part shipped in from out of state. The repairs they did look great- you cant tell the front quarter panel was crunched in at all. I would highly recommend their services.
Santee Smog Test Only is very conveniently located. It is a tiny shop, and there is no waiting room All they do are smog checks, they do not do repairs, so they are able to get you in and out pretty quickly. I only waited about 20 minutes for my smog check to be finished. If you do need something to keep you occupied, you can go next door and browse the furniture store, or you could go over to the Chevron and get a snack to pass the time. The Operator is friendly, although his speech was a bit hard to understand for me.
I don't know why places call themselves "resorts"! It is an RV Park, lots of people are living there permanently. They have a small pool, and a dog run. The Rvs are packed together pretty tight, and it is located next to a freeway, so noise is a problem. The other side of the park is next to a major road, so it is not a whole lot better.
We used to have waste Management, but last year started having problems with them not picking up all of our trash. we would have to call every week to have them come back out and finish the job. When we call, they would give excuses like the cans or bags were over the weight limit. I know they weren't (I actually took my scale out one morning and weighed them!) We would also have some instances where we would have 10 bags out(the limit) and they would only take 3 or 4, and when we called they would say we had more than the limit!
We recently had a couple dead animals at the end of our street (A hawk and a squirrel were both hit by a car) and I didn't want to touch it and I didn't want my daughter to see them on her way home from school. I called several places, and I was finally referred to this place, and they came right out and removed them.
